Chapter 11 - Fourth Time

After handling the convenience store, Emiya stayed at his parents' house for dinner, which consisted of a bowl of rice porridge and a sesame seed cake.

Then he watched TV with his parents and chatted for a while. At around 9 p.m., he left his parents' house and returned to his own home.

Emiya wasn't tired at all at this point. After all, he had just woken up at 6 p.m. So, Emiya decided to travel again.

Having just tested his travel ability, Emiya was like a child and couldn't stop. He was looking forward to a new encounter.

So, after wrapping himself in a Psychic Ball, Emiya activated his superpower, and his fourth journey began.

Swoosh!

Just like the previous times, Emiya felt a flash before his eyes and arrived in a new world.

However, this time, the landing spot was neither a bathroom nor a bathtub. It was on a wide, spacious street.

This made Emiya feel relieved. This time, it wasn't a bathroom or a bathtub. To be honest, if it were a bathroom or a bathtub every time, Emiya would seriously have to consider whether to continue traveling.

What if he accidentally landed in a powerful female fighter's private bathroom next time and saw her naked?

He would be dead on the spot. Emiya didn't think his Psychic could stop those incredibly powerful female warriors.

Now it seemed that the previous times were just coincidences, and his travel ability was not as messed up as he had imagined.

Emiya looked up, and the sun was shining brightly in the sky. It was daytime. He remembered that when he traveled during the day, the anime world would be night.

But now he traveled at night, and this world was daytime.

It seems that the time in the real world and the two-dimensional world is reversed.

Under the clear blue sky, the street Emiya was on was very lively, and the sound of chatter was endless.

The busy streets and bustling markets were filled with people. To get around the large city, passersby would often hail horse-drawn carriages and get on.

That's right, horse-drawn carriages.

Although the street in front of him was very lively, based on the cobblestone pavement and the horse-drawn carriages, it was easy to tell that this was not a modern city.

It was an ancient city, and a Western-style ancient city at that. More importantly, Emiya saw not only the storefronts lining the street but also creatures that could never be seen in the real world, or on Earth, at least.

Demihumans!

Yes, the kind with long, slender legs, furry ears, and wagging tails, which looked very much in line with human aesthetics.

In addition, Emiya also saw elves with long ears, short dwarves, and all sorts of strange-looking animals.

It was clear that this was not only an ancient city but also a fantasy ancient city. Without a doubt, this was the different world that Emiya had been dreaming of.

After traveling to three worlds in a row, Emiya finally arrived in a true different world on his fourth try.

However, to find out which world this was, Emiya did not hesitate to walk over to a small food cart selling fried potato balls and asked the vendor where he was.

The vendor, who was selling fried potato balls, did not give Emiya a cold shoulder for not buying anything.

Instead, he answered Emiya's question kindly. "Is this your first time in this city, customer? This is the labyrinth city of Orario."

This was undoubtedly a very famous name.

The labyrinth city of Orario, from the world of Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Of course, Emiya and the general public of internet users were used to calling it the "DanMachi" world.

This world's story is about the gods of the heavens, who, bored with their lives, sealed their divine powers and descended to the mortal world.

They met humans and formed their own Familias, causing trouble in the human world.

The protagonist of the story is a boy named Bell Cranel, a rookie adventurer who dreams of "meeting a charming heroine in a dungeon" in his adventure story.

By the way, Bell's grandfather is none other than Zeus. Yes, the one who likes lewd things.

So the protagonist, Bell Cranel, seems pure, but he is not a decent person.

Could a decent person have a harem?

No, they're lewd.

Of course, Emiya had no right to criticize him. After all, ever since he got the ability to travel between worlds, he also dreamed of having a harem one day.

It's a case of the pot calling the kettle black.

In any case, now that he had finally arrived in the DanMachi world, Emiya had no intention of going back just yet.

Why don't I join a Familia?

As long as he joined a Familia, Emiya could use his superpower to become stronger quickly and might even learn magic and other skills.

This would be a great advantage for him when traveling to other worlds.

After all, becoming an adventurer meant having a god's blessing, and since a god was personally giving him a blessing, why hesitate?

So Emiya was not against becoming an adventurer at all. However, he had to carefully consider which god to choose for his blessing.

In the DanMachi world, there are many gods who have descended, but only a few of them can be trusted. After all, once he accepted a god's blessing, his ability to travel between worlds would be exposed.

So Emiya had to find a reliable god.

The reliable gods in the story were few and far between. The first person who came to Emiya's mind was none other than Loki, the perverted goddess who loved wine and cute girls!

Loki might seem unreliable, but she was very protective of her Familia and loved her adventurers very much.

And Loki's Familia was one of the strongest Familias in the labyrinth city of Orario, comparable to the Freya Familia. She had many adventurers under her, who could provide Emiya with a lot of support.

If Emiya were bullied in another world, he could totally call Loki to get revenge.

More importantly, Loki's Familia had a Level 6 adventurer, Riveria Ljos Alf, who was not only the Vice-Captain of the Loki Familia but also the strongest mage in the labyrinth city. Learning magic from her would be very convenient.

The only trouble was that the Loki Familia was one of the largest Familias in the labyrinth city, and they were probably very strict when it came to choosing adventurers. So it would not be easy to join the Loki Familia.

But Emiya was confident in himself. He was a psychic, after all. Although he couldn't defeat high-level adventurers, he should have no problem defeating a few low-level adventurers with his Psychic.

Based on this, it should be no problem for him to join the Loki Familia.

Okay, it's decided. I'll join the Loki Familia first. If that fails, I'll go for my backup plan... Hestia.

Since he didn't know where the Loki Familia's headquarters was, Emiya had to ask the fried potato ball vendor again.

To be honest, it was a bit embarrassing for Emiya to ask so many questions without buying anything. Unfortunately, he had no money since he had just arrived in this world.

Fortunately, the vendor was quite enthusiastic and did not show any dislike towards Emiya. Instead, he drew a simple map for Emiya and told him how to find the Loki Familia.

"Young man, if you become an adventurer, remember to come and support my business."

"No problem," Emiya promised without hesitation.

After saying goodbye to the fried potato ball vendor, Emiya followed the map and walked for about an hour.

Along the way, he asked a few more people and finally arrived at the Loki Familia's headquarters. From the outside, the Loki Familia's headquarters looked very luxurious.

After all, as one of the two strongest Familias in the labyrinth city of Orario, if it were too weak and shabby, it would be ridiculed by adventurers.

Therefore, the sheer size and extravagance of the building were breathtaking. Of course, it was not as grand as the Great Wall, the Floating City, or the Island of Justice in other fantasy worlds, but it certainly did not bring shame to the Loki Familia.

When Emiya arrived at the Loki Familia's headquarters, two people on patrol at the entrance stopped him.

There was no doubt that they were adventurers from the Loki Familia. However, they were probably low-level, or they wouldn't have been assigned to patrol here.

From the outside, the two of them looked human and had no demihuman features. However, their expressions were positive and upbeat.

Although they seemed a bit proud, they were not looking down on people. The reason for their pride was simple: they were members of the Loki Familia.

Since the Loki Familia was one of the strongest Familias, they did have a reason to be arrogant.

After Emiya stated that he wanted to join the Loki Familia, the two adventurers looked at each other. They didn't rudely chase Emiya away.

Instead, they took him inside the Loki Familia, brought him to an ordinary reception room, and offered him tea.

"Please wait a moment. Lady Riveria will be here soon."

The Loki Familia's name was famous throughout Orario. Every year, countless adventurers wanted to join them.

Of course, the Loki Familia would not chase these people away. After all, the high-level adventurers of the Loki Familia were all promoted from ordinary adventurers.

If they chased these adventurers away, the Loki Familia would suffer a shortage of talent and eventually be destroyed.

After all, there were only a few high-level adventurers in the Loki Familia. For them to become one of the most powerful Familias in Orario, the mid-level and low-level adventurers also played an indispensable role.

Therefore, they had a well-established system to select people with potential and bring them in. This was to maintain the vitality of the Loki Familia and to keep the bloodline fresh.
