Chapter 5 - Clan training.

Like this he continued to train for 2 and a half months.

On a particular day.

'Finally, I can reliably turn on and off my Byakugan. Who would have thought that just activating and deactivating Byakugan could be so troublesome.

But the panel really does not have anything extra. It just tells me a multiplier, and where those multipliers come from.

But it should have quite a good effect considering how much faster I have been learning information from books.

Although I can't calculate the speed of my learning accurately it's defectively faster than mere 0.25.

I wonder how much effect chakra has on my cognitive capabilities…

Let it go I will probably find out in the future.

But now I don't really know how to train the Byakugan properly.

I know that Byakugan has three distinct abilities so I can train those, but first. I need to reduce the time I need to activate the Byakugan from over 30 seconds to a few seconds first. After that I will start training the three aspects of Byakugan.

That means Byakugan's long range vision where I will just try to expand the range as much as possible, the x ray vision of Byakugan where I will try to see through thick obstacles in the greatest detail possible and the 360° vision of Byakugan.

Once the two of the former are decently mastered I will try and combine all three usages of Byakugan into a single exercise.

The Hyugas probably have much more sophisticated training methods. But this will have to do for now.

And since the Byakugan eats a lot of chakra I should train it in the evenings when my chakra has recovered to around half from the day's tree climbing exercise.

Those that will somewhat eat to my meditation. But it shouldn't be a huge issue.

Hmm, that adjustment should do it for a while."

While starting the new training it only took 2 weeks for it to come to a stop.

In the morning the orphanage kids were informed by the head of the orphanage that in 2 weeks clan training will start.

And to tell them if they wanted to participate in the clan training.

They were also informed that if they passed the requirements of the clan they would move out of the orphanage to their own house.

They were also informed that a clan ninja would come and pick them up from the orphanage.

After informing them at breakfast they were left to their own devices.

'Hmm that's surprising. I thought that clan training was mandatory for the Hyugas.

But it does not make a difference to me. After all, I would have gone there myself.

But the independent house that I will move into is good, I will have more time to do my own things.'

After informing the dean that he would like to go to the clan training. He started his training.

And just like the dean said 2 weeks later a ninja came to pick up the kids.

In the group of kids Yujiro was in his own thoughts.

'Hmm that's surprising I didn't think so many kids would come to the clan training.

Only 2 kids of our age did not register.'

Yujiro was soon pulled from his thoughts.

"Hey Yujiro, what do you think they will start with?" Hyuga gari asked.

Gari is one of the five kids Yujiro built a relationship with.

"What do you mean, what will they start with?" Yujiro confusedly asked.

"You know ninja stuff. What will they teach us first? Will they teach us how to blow out fireballs." Gari clarified.

"I don't think they will start with anything to do with ninjas. I guess they will first teach us the basics like reading, math and some basic knowledge." Yujiro bluntly stated.

"But what use are those things, and can't we already read and do math?" Now it was Gari's turn to be confused.

"Just because the six of us can read and do math doesn't mean everyone else can do it. But after a couple of weeks they will probably start teaching us basic ninja knowledge before teaching us anything practical." Yujiro berated Gari while comforting him.

After gathering the kids, the Hyuga ninja led them to a different part of the compound. From what Yujiro could see, it was a bit more desolate compared to where the orphanage was, but unlike the orphanage it looked like many building complexes in the middle of a forest. Though Yujiro doesn't know how big the forest is he can guess it's quite large due to the fact they are moving toward the edge of the village.

After arriving at a plaza Yujiro could see that many other kids were in the plaza aside from them.

From what he could count there were around 70 other kids in the plaza.

After waiting for a while, a scarred man came to the edge of the field.

"Attention you brats!

My name is Sakazi Hyuga and today you brats will be tested on if you have the potential to be ninjas.

First as you can see around the plaza there is a track. You will have to run around it 5 times with each lap being 400 m with the time limit being 12 minutes. If you can't do it you will be sent back."

After saying that many Hyuga ninjas came and organized the kids into groups of 36 and 37.

"Hmm there are over 70 kids this year. That's quite good. It's over 15 that we've had in the past 3 years. Though the limited number of kids currently is due to the war."

"Yes Lord Sakazi, an orphanage had an abnormally large number of applicants. The orphanage had 23 kids apply to the clan training while the two other orphanages only had 11 and 9 kids apply." A Hyuga chunin said from the side.

"Hmm, have you investigated why?" Sakazi questioned.

"Yes from what the dean of the orphanage said Hyuga Yujiro is a sort of role model for many kids in the orphanage and as he immediately registered to the clan training almost everyone applied after him."

"I see, so he is charismatic."

"Yes."
