"Ready set go!" One of the teachers yelled.
Everybody could do the first 3 laps but on the 4th lap some began to pant heavily.
While running Yujiro observed others. 'I noticed this earlier, but the physical fitness of the people in this world is astounding.
I know that chakra made me stronger just by awakening it but it's so wondrous to me as even if not unlocked kids have such high physical fitness.
Or is it that as a ninja clan kids have such high natural advantages compared to civilian kids.'
While Yujiro finished his observations people had already started to fall behind.
As Yujiro passed the fifth lap he started to look at how many others passed.
To his surprise only 7 kids failed, though he didn't know the others only 2 kids from his orphanage failed.
After finishing the laps the teachers asked if anybody could do another 5 laps.
As Yujiro saw many other kids putting up their hands he also put on his hand.
After counting the people who raised their hands, the kids ran another 5 laps including Yujiro.
After those 5 laps they were asked the same question. As a result, 10 kids other than Yujiro raised their hands.
After the kids finished their last 5 laps only 4 including Yujiro succeeded in running the laps.
Afterwards they were asked to stand aside as the other group of 36 kids started their laps.
From them 8 failed the first 5 laps.
12 people ran the second 5 laps and only 1 other succeeded in running the third 5 laps.
After all the kids ran the laps a teacher brought Sakazi the information.
"Lord Sakazi in total
5 kids succeeded in 3 x 5 laps
22 kids succeeded in 2 x 5 laps
31 kids succeeded in 1 x 5 laps."
"Hmm the kids who could do 2 laps are in quite abundance this year"
"Yes Lord Sakazi, unlike in the past years most kids from one orphanage had very good physical fitness."
"I see, proceed to the next task."
After the physical test all the kids who succeeded were separated from the kids who failed. The failed kids were escorted back where they came from.
The next part of the test was a teacher asking the kids who had unlocked chakra to put up their hands.
After which 14 people put up their hands.
Yujiro wasn't surprised by the number of kids who had unlocked chakra, infact himself included the orphanage he was in had 6 people who had unlocked their chakra.
This of course was him tinkering and testing if he could unlock other people's chakra.
While he succeeded he only managed to awaken the 5 other kids he had deliberately made a relationship with.
His guess on why they managed to unlock chakra with his help while the other kids didn't, was due to the fact that their physique is much stronger than the other kids in the orphanage.
This is due to the fact that they are much more hardworking compared to the other kids.
After the teachers checked all the kids who raised their hands.
They were separated from the others.
After they were separated from each other. The kids who managed to run the 5 laps twice were separated from the other group. After a while another 6 kids who didn't manage to run the second 5 laps but came extremely close were included in this group.
Afterwards the teachers unlocked every kid's chakra.
As a result, Yujiro was analyzing.
'I see there is an actual technique to unlocking chakra.
But what's more surprising to me is that they're actually unlocking everybody's chakra, are they that desperate for more manpower?'
After he saw that he started to daydream.
After the chakra unlocking and the desperation was done, a teacher came to tell Sakazi the results.
"Sakazi-sama the result is that the elite class is quite a bit bigger than in previous years. Should we reduce its numbers a bit?"
"No need, the more the elites the better."
"Yes sir, the results show that
The elite class will have 14 kids.
The talented class will have 17 kids.
And the normal class will have 25 kids.
"Great, give them their own apartments. Afterwards guide them around the different facilities"
Sakazi happily replied.
"Yes sir." After giving an affirmative answer Sakazi left.
After Sakazi left the teacher organized 6 teachers to guide the kids to their apartment complexes and gave them their keys and the apartment number, after they told them to gather at specific locations to continue the tour.
While on the tour the kids were introduced to many different facilities, like the meditation room, mess hall, showers and the library.
While interested in the meditation room, Yujiro's main attention was on the library. This is because he had already heard that the Hyuga clan has meditation rooms, and their purpose is to help with meditation. Specifically it makes meditation about 6 times more effective than without the meditation room. While not groundbreaking as the chakra growth is quite small from meditation, Yujiro still spends almost two and a half hours a day meditating.
But the library is a treasure trove.
From the teachers description while they don't have access to high rank jutsus the students do have access to E and D rank jutsus. Alongside those jitsu knowledge there are a lot of knowledge of different taijutsu, kenjutsu and it's filled with a lot of knowledge such as the history of the past hundred years or so, stories about strong people and cultural knowledge such as geography, basic world knowledge, basic medical knowledge and most importantly for him knowledge on the Byakugan.
