On the neon-shrouded pedestrian street, a decaying human body fell to the ground, causing the onlookers to scream and flee in terror.

Whoosh!

A black flash flickered, and Leo, in his Flerken-symbiote form, landed beside the body. His vertical pupils burned like bluish-white flames, and the dark, leathery skin of his new form rippled with muscle.

"It has parasitized another human nearby," Venom's hoarse voice said in his mind. "Its strength is much greater than the first one. It can choose almost any human as a host."

"Which one?"

The black kitten, now a top-tier predator, scanned the fleeing crowd with cold, calculating eyes. There was no obvious sign of possession. He quickly realized that the second symbiote was using the chaos to escape.

"Where is it?" Leo snarled, his voice a low growl of irritation. The instincts of the symbiote and the Flerken, intertwined with his own animal nature, were pushing his human reason to the breaking point. Violence, wildness, and an inhuman indifference were invading his mind, making his actions more and more erratic.

Just moments ago, he had torn the human host of the first symbiote to shreds. He had known that the human was beyond saving, that if he hesitated, more innocent people would die. It had been the best solution, but the bloodthirsty brutality of the act was far from the normal thinking of his human self.

"I can only sense that it's within thirty meters," Venom said. "But there are too many humans nearby, over a hundred. It's impossible to tell which one is the host." Its voice grew sharper, like a demon whispering a suggestion. "I think the best solution is to kill everyone here. Otherwise, if it escapes, more people will die. Don't hesitate! Make a choice, quickly!"

"Shut up!" Leo roared, and slammed one of his paws into the ground.

CRACK!

The entire pedestrian street trembled, and dozens of terrible cracks spread out from where he stood. A ring of hard, black slime tentacles, thirty meters in diameter, burst from the ground, shooting ten meters into the air and forming a dense, barbed cage, trapping everyone within.

The scene fell deathly silent.

"Find it for me," Leo said, one paw still planted in the ground, his body motionless. The other paw morphed into a tentacle and began to reach out to the trapped people.

"Monster, don't come over!" they screamed, falling to the ground in terror. But they soon discovered that the tentacle was soft, with a pad like a normal cat's paw. It just touched their shoulders or chests, and then quickly moved on, checking each person one by one.

He was searching for the second symbiote's host. A symbiote could bond with a host silently, without the host even knowing it.

As he checked more than half of the people, a middle-aged man in the crowd wrinkled his brow and touched his chest. For some reason, he was breaking out in a cold sweat.

Fear, a deep, primal fear, gripped the second symbiote. It knew that the Venom's host was about to find it. It had been switching hosts to escape, but in the process, it had come to realize the terrifying power of its pursuer.

The gap in their strength was too great. Their abilities were closely related to the physique of their hosts, but even after rotating through so many humans, the second symbiote's power was a fraction of what the Venom's host was displaying.

It didn't know that Leo's current state was not just the power of the Venom, but a superposition of the Venom and the Flerken. The effect was not one plus one; it was exponential.

The symbiote boss won't be able to save me! I'm going to die here! it thought, panicking. Leo's tentacle was getting closer. Death was approaching.

In its desperation, it sensed something. The middle-aged man it was possessing turned his head and looked at two people in the crowd. A woman in her early thirties and a boy of about ten.

"Peter, it's okay," the woman said, comforting the terrified child. "Aunt May is here. I'll protect you."

Peter nodded, then, with a surge of courage, stood in front of his aunt. Suddenly, the hair on his arms stood on end. He met the hollow gaze of the middle-aged man. It was like staring into an abyss. He turned pale and, pointing a finger, blurted out, "The monster the black kitten is looking for… it's him!"

"Peter, what are you talking about?" Aunt May said, stunned.

"What are you talking about? I'm not a monster!" the middle-aged man retorted, but then his eyes widened in horror as a cloud of gray-green viscous liquid gushed from his mouth.

The weird, reality-defying scene stunned everyone into silence.

"Found you," Leo said, his voice cold and resolute. The moment the second symbiote revealed itself, his tentacle shot forward, hardening into a spike. It pierced through the gray-green liquid, pinning it to the cage of tentacles behind it.

Sizzle.

The second symbiote boiled violently, detaching the part of itself that was nailed to the wall. The rest of its liquid body shot out like a jet of water, a gray-green net, and lunged toward the woman and the boy.

"Aunt May, look out!" Peter cried, throwing his arms out to block her.

The gray-green liquid slammed into him and seeped into his body
