She caught her reflection in the wide mirror above the sink. Her hair was tousled, her face still flushed from Nari's teasing, and her eyes… her eyes betrayed far more than she wished.
With a soft sigh, she turned on the shower, letting the warm stream roar to life before slowly undressing. When the water finally cascaded over her, it felt like a veil being lifted—heat enveloping her body, soothing yet unrelenting. But no matter how the water flowed, it couldn't wash away the memory of Kai's hand sliding the ring onto her finger, or the way his voice had lingered on her smile.
She leaned her forehead against the cool glass of the shower door, rivulets of water tracing her shoulders.
I can't keep blushing every time he looks at me…
When she finally stepped out, she wrapped herself in one of the plush towels. The silk pajamas waited for her, cool and delicate, and as she slipped them on, the fabric clung softly to her damp skin, light as air yet intimate against her.
Her gaze drifted back to the mirror. This time, her lips curved into a small, hesitant smile—nervous, questioning.
Will he notice?
Drawing a deep breath, Hana steadied herself, gathered her courage, and pushed the door open.
Kai was there, waiting.
