Chapter 24 - Do I really have to?

Hana nearly dropped the phone, her entire face blazing red. In a flustered panic, she hung up and tossed it aside.

Kai chuckled, the sound low and amused.

"Don't mind her," Hana muttered, burying her face in her hands. "Just ignore what she said."

"Do I really have to?" His voice carried a teasing edge, eyes glinting.

Hana's head snapped up. "What?"

He only smiled, calm and unreadable. "There's a spare pajama in the bathroom. Go shower."

Her cheeks heated all over again. She nodded quickly and fled, closing the bathroom door behind her with a soft click.

Leaning back against it, she pressed both palms to her burning face.

Why did Nari have to say something like that? Why am I overthinking this…?

Her gaze drifted around the bathroom. It was vast, sleek, and modern, lined with marble tiles that shimmered under the golden lights. Steam still lingered in the air from Kai's shower, carrying that faint, expensive trace of his cologne mingled with clean soap. The scent clung to her, wrapping around her like invisible arms, and her chest tightened.

On the counter sat a neatly folded pajama set—Kai's doing, no doubt. She stepped closer, fingers brushing over the fabric. Smooth silk, pale blue, luxurious yet simple. The same shade Kai wore. The thought sent her pulse racing, as though just wearing it would bind her to him in some unspoken way.
