When Hana and Nari entered Kai's room, Hana quickly closed the door and dropped the bag on the bed. She unzipped it and pulled out her camera, cradling it like a lost treasure.
"You don't know how much I missed this," she whispered with a bright smile—only to frown when Nari stayed silent.
Hana turned. Her best friend stood frozen, jaw slack.
Kai's room wasn't just a room. It was a suite.
A sleek desk stood near a slim bookshelf filled with design magazines and business journals. A dining corner gleamed with glass and velvet chairs beneath a pendant lamp. The king-size bed stretched across the room in charcoal sheets, crowned by a massive flat-screen. And the walk-in closet, lined with tailored suits and rows of gleaming shoes, glittered beneath recessed lighting.
And then—the bathroom. Marble floors, a jacuzzi, rainfall shower, and the faint fragrance of sandalwood drifting out.
Nari's voice trembled. "Hana… is this a room or a five-star hotel?"
Hana shrugged sheepishly, camera in hand. "It's just… Kai's room."
Nari laughed breathlessly. "Girl, this isn't a room. This is a kingdom."
