Knox's POV
I woke in a field of wildflowers, the sun was shining, I could feel the warmth on my face.
Sitting up, I looked around, rubbing my eyes.
Where was I?
Last thing I remembered fighting with Alfie in Jax's bedroom after finding them in bed with Callie.
"Havoc?" I tried mindlinking my wolf but I couldn't reach him…I couldn't find him either.
Panic rose in me.
Was I so injured my wolf thought I was dead? Did my brothers leave me in this place to rot?
All these thoughts whirled in my mind, suddenly broken by a wolf howling in the distance.
I stood to locate the source.
In the distance was a giant black wolf with a woman.
The wolf saw me and rushed to me, leaving the woman chuckling to herself.
She was breathtaking, long golden hair framed her milky skin. The woman wore a floor length white gown that glittered in the sun.
The wolf drew nearer. It was Havoc.
He nuzzled his muzzle against me as he greeted me. I wrapped my arms around his neck hugging him.
My arms gripped Havoc defensively as the woman grew closer.
"Who are you?!?What did you do to me and my wolf?!" I questioned angrily.
"I have done nothing, except bring you here my child" her voice soft, melodically dripping like honey.
Confused, I looked to Havoc.
"My name is Selene." The woman said.
Selene… as in Moon Goddess Selene.
I bowed deeply, awe strickened.
"Rise my child." Her voice came, looking up I took in her appearance.
Selene was truly magnificent, power radiating off her but not intimidating. Her beauty was something I'd never experienced before.
"Am I..am I dead?" I questioned, sucking in my breath.
"No Knox, you are not dead" Selene chuckled gently.
"Your body was left behind in your world to heal." She raised her eyebrow a slight frown tugging on her lips.
I lifted a hand t scratch behind my neck, uncomfortable. I knew I'd disrespected Selene with my recent action. This was it, my punishment. Whatever was coming next wasn't going to be good.
"You're not here to be punished Knox" Selene interrupted my thoughts.
"You can read my mind?" I eyed her.
"I can." She nodded
"You're here because I saw what happened between your brothers, Callie and yourself."
I hung my head, shame rolled over me.
"Knox, I brought you here to help you fix everything." My eyes shot to Selene, she wanted to help me?
"I'll do anything you say." I said confidently.
Selene, now sitting in the grass, Havocs head resting on her lap sleeping as she brushed his fur with her hands, smiled softly.
She patted the grass beside her, inviting me to join her.
Sitting down, Selene took my hand in hers.
"You have heard the stories of the Alpha Luna?"
I nodded, my Mother would read it to us as pups. It was a fairytale, but also a teaching about brotherhood and fated mates.
"It is not just a story Knox." Her voice came, my eyes widened, my mind tried searching for the details of the fairytale that weren't as clear.
Suddenly it dawned on me. Before falling unconscious I remembered my brothers bowing to Callie.
"Callie is the Alpha Luna?" I muttered.
"Yes my child, a direct descendant of the original Alpha Luna, my daughter." Selene confirmed.
My breathing hitched.
"You have heard of the prophecy surrounding your fates, yet you continued fighting the mate bond with Callie, setting that prophecy in motion. The five of you are destined for great things, I have made sure of it." Selene's tone more firm.
"You must go back and fix the relationships you have damaged. With all of them. None of you will be complete without one of you. Callie must have all of you by her side so she can confront her destiny."
"But how? They hate me, Callie hates me, she only wants Jax and Alfie. Even Kane refuses to speak to me… how are we supposed to meet our destiny when Callie doesn't even have her wolf" my words spilled out.
Selene raised her hand, stopping me in my tracks. I gathered myself, taking a deep breath.
"My dearest Knox, it will not be easy, I can assure you of that. There will be trials that will test you and your loved ones. Go to your brothers and Callie, help them, accept them and in turn you will fix yourself and the bonds which have been damaged."
I nodded, standing, I knew what I needed to do.
Selene stood also. About to take her leave, she turned to me "and Knox, listen to Havoc, he's a smart wolf. He wil protect you from enemies that hide behind friendly faces."
Selene kissed Havocs head gently in farewell.
"Enemies?" I questioned.
"There are people who aim to tear your bond with Callie apart. You must not let it happen" Selene warned, before disappearing.
Havoc bugged me with his muzzle before laying back on the grass. I joined him, closing my eyes, thoughts swimming with sleeves words.
I opened my eyes, no longer in the field of grass and wild flowers. I mindlinked Havoc immediately "Havoc are you there?"
"Yes, I'm here." He replied just as quickly.
Relief washed over me.
Havoc chuckled "Did you miss me?"
I rolled my eyes inwardly.
"Knox! Your awake?!" My mothers sobs broke my daze.
"Yes mother, I'm awake."
"Oh Goddess, I thought we'd lost you." She sobbed, holding my hand.
"I'm fine mother, please, can you get Jax for me." I asked.
Mother nodded, standing and wiping her eyes before exiting my bedroom.
A few moments later mother returned with Jax, looking pissed he was breathing the same air as me.
"Leave us, please mother."
She looked between us worriedly before leaving.
"What do you want?" Jax shot out.
"Please, hear me out. I know you hate me right now. You have everything right to. I hurt Callie and I plan on making that up to her.
But, there's somthing I need to tell you first." I paused gauging Jax's reaction.
He stood there for a second, arms folded, a deep frown on his face.
"Go on." Jax rolled his eyes.
"I.. I saw Selene…when I was unconscious. She told me Callie was the Alpha Luna. It's real Jax, that fairytale we were told as pups. It's real. Selene warned me we have enemies close and they want to hurt Callie, splitting us all up." I rushed out, panic gripping me.
Jax stood in silence, his expression unreadable.
"Can you walk?" Jax broke the silence.
I nodded.
"Then come with me." He instructed.
