Synopsis
Unending means Eternal, Nightmare means Fear. Put them together and you get an eternity of fear. Even that can get boring after countless hours proportionally met by countless deaths. --- Ren was the son of a candlemaker who tried to fly to close to the sun and got infected by its light in a country plagued by elitist mentality, an invasion from unnatural Barbarians and now Abyssal Anchors bringing forth what would soon be called the FALL of the world. Nightmarish Totem Gods cobbled together from whatever beast they could get their hands on? Commanders who would give a spear to a child and call it a day? Abyssal Anchors echoing fragments of the past as they drag the world ever so deeper into its grasp? Ren need walk no further since it's all going to be knocking on his doors. And he needn't worry about dying from all these nightmares made flesh as they broke down his front door and made a feast from his intestines. With an ancient power preventing his death and forcefully making himself suffer an unending nightmare, Ren realized belatedly how much of a boon it is to never die. "Let's see who breaks first yeah?"

Chapter 1 - Ch0 Prologue

"My name is Ren"

A man with greyish hair stared at the ceiling of whatever hell that he found himself stuck in this time.

"I don't know what year it is, and I don't know how this happened to me in the first place." He said, finding the words flow out all to easily as he got up from the ground and dusted himself off.

Ripping the knife out of his leg, Ren stretched his limbs

"This is the life after my hundred and first death"

Green eyes glimmering in the dark as a grotesque form revealed itself from within the inky abyss, their jaw opened as their teeth clattered against each other noisily while they wrapped around a bloody bleeding heart.

Listening to the loud thumps made of blood ring in his ears, Ren grunted and held the Knife against his chest defensively,

"In my first fifty deaths, I thought that this was an unending nightmare..."

Ren slinked into the darkness, instinctively twisting his body in such a way that he merged with it.

Creature growl screeching, Ren's voice echoed within the dark confines of where they were. The creature hurriedly twisting and turning in an attempt to catch sight of Ren.

"But after fifty more deaths. I think it's a gift."

Ren's green eyes glimmered from above the monster.

"You may win as many times as you want, but I only need to win once."

The dagger stabbed at the Creature's skull as they growl screeched, their many legs tearing Ren to small ribbons as a laugh bubbled out of his chest the same way blood left his mouth.

"Let's see who breaks first yeah?"
