As he fell down, he slowly began losing his vision.
It was calm, sunset was approaching the cave grew darker and darker till no light scarred him.
At that moment when his consciousness was fading, he was forced to get back on his feet.
It had felt as if the cave was collapsing debris was falling everywhere he tried to escape through the exit.
He was too late...…Trolls he was met face to face with several trolls in all directions.
The trolls were several times larger than himself their skin resembled the cave itself their eyes burning red with hatred or perhaps it was anger.
As he was enclosed a fraction of his memory returned.
Trolls were nocturnal beings; sunlight burns them to ashes due to curse cast by some unknown being, whose name was lost to time.
As the sun set, he knew there was nowhere to escape so he ran deeper into the cave hoping for a miracle.
He tried to nudge past the wall of trolls. As he was rushing deeper into the cave the trolls lunged at him.
A troll pursued him and attempted to catch him it jumped in the air ferociously and set its hand towards him
Fortunately, it could not catch him by a strand of hair. He ran towards the other trolls and slid past them through their legs.
The troll that had earlier tried to pursue him had crashed into the other trolls buying him time which had led him to slip away from the grasp of the trolls.
Free from those monstrous creatures he a let a sigh of relief and shortly after collapsed due to exhaustion.
As time flew by, he woke up. That is with physical exhaustion he was starving and lost blood due to bleeding from the injuries earlier.
He stood up with great pain he was on the brink of death. He wandered deeper into the cave till it led to a vast lush cave a whole ecosystem lied there.
His eyes lit with excitement his prayers were answered he rushed to pick up berries from nearby plants and ate them without a care in the world.
But he was not alone. He was ambushed receiving a terrible impact to his head he lost consciousness. He caught a glimpse of 2 people standing behind him. All he heard was
'Is he one of us'.
