I turned around and saw that familiar smile that was impossible to forget,"Alex," I couldn't hide the excitement in my voice The man exuded regal elegance, dressed impeccably in attire fit for a prince. His tailored velvet suit in a rich jewel tone. A crisp white shirt with billowy sleeves complemented the suit, its intricate lace trim adding a touch of sophistication.
Black leather gloves, polished to a high shine, added a dashing touch to his ensemble. His brown hair combed back to reveal his handsome face.
"Where have you been?"
"Someone's excited to see me, I knew a face like this would be hard to forget," he joked, I couldn't help but roll my eyes." There were things that needed my attention."
I wondered if he was really a guard, he spoke so freely and dressed so elegantly.
"And what 'things' have you and the King been taking care of?" I raised a brow.
"Isn't someone curious," he chuckled, " I will let your husband answer that once he's back." He smiled. My husband? I almost forgot I had one. I knew 'my husband' wouldn't tell me anything.
"So how's your new home?" He asked, excitement in his eyes. I couldn't help but smile, If he was the man I married then this marriage thing would not be bad at all.
"I don't like it here, I'm bored," I couldn't lie to him, I didn't have any friends here and the people were afraid to create conversations with me because they were afraid of the king. But the man here with me was not afraid of anything. Maybe him and the King were close.
"That's tragic," he said with an exaggerated expression, I couldn't help but laugh,"We have to change that," he stood up giving me his hand.
" I don't really feel like going anywhere today," I wanted to go with him but I had other plans, figuring out why the forbidden floor was forbidden.
"I'm allergic to rejection," touching his heart as if he's heartbroken,"guess I'll end up in the hospital today,"
"You're such a drama queen," I said as I stood up taking his hand.
