Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Beautiful, Kind-hearted, and Excellent Grades!

In the old gymnasium.

Although Hawke's inner universe had awakened, the habit of punching ten thousand times a day for a thousand days was not something he could just give up.

So, these past few days, he maintained his habit of punching ten thousand times a day.

He had nothing else to do anyway.

Moreover, with these daily practice sessions, Hawke could feel a star in his inner universe flickering.

It wasn't lit yet, but he figured if he could keep it up for a month, it would.

Clearly, fighting wasn't the only option to light that star.

At least, fighting wasn't the only option.

It was just that compared to the efficiency of punching ten thousand times a month, it was the quickest way to light it.

  But that didn't matter.

  Hawke didn't care.

First, he didn't believe he was a violent person, and certainly not the kind of person who would become "I won't eat beef" the next day after gaining supernatural powers.

Ten thousand punches a day for a thousand days honed not only his strength, but more importantly, his character.

He controlled the power, not the power controlling him.

Secondly, he hadn't even gathered the materials needed to forge the Saint Cloth yet, let alone lighting up his own constellation.

It's common knowledge that a Saint without a Saint Cloth and a Saint with one are two different species.

Well at least that's how it is for the most part.

After a while,Hawke showered, changed into a fresh T-shirt and pants, shouldered his shoulder bag, and walked out of the old gymnasium, heading towards the school gate.

The independent hearing he requested was scheduled for 3:30 this afternoon.

By then, he could take the bus to the school gate and then transfer twice, and he'd be at the courthouse by 3:00.

Sitting at the bus stop at the school gate, Hawke munched on a sandwich while waiting for the bus.

Watching the various vehicles coming and going from the school gate, he began to wonder if he should buy a car himself.

Of course, before that, he should get a driver's license.

  Yes.

While almost everyone in his grade had one, he didn't have one.

After all, Hawke had never considered buying a car before.

But now he had.

He hadn't thought about it before his Cosmo awakened, because he needed to think about his future.

After all, federal subsidies would cease to exist once he reached adulthood, and he'd be on his own paying for rent, and potentially even taking on college loans.

The foreseeable pressures of life were suffocating him, and he still wanted a car?

  Did he deserve it ?

He didn't.

He might not even be able to pay the insurance after buying a car.

But things were different now.

If Hawke could be told what his greatest feeling after awakening his Cosmo was, it was a deep sigh of relief.

He had completely let go of the pressure of the unknown future.

After all after awakening his Cosmo, his future, if nothing unexpected happened, would only have two options:a comfortable life or an even more comfortable one.

Even if he had a darker heart, relying on his awakened Cosmo and crafting the Cloth, he could live like an emperor, where those who obeyed prospered and those who disobeyed perished.

  Power is force.

  Force is fist.

  Unfortunately.

His punches are now sonic, and in the future they will exceed the speed of light.

But he doesn't have that kind of thought, let alone the thought of "I don't eat beef."

  At least not now.

However, after relieving the pressure of the future, Hawke feels that he should be able to improve his quality of life.

Apart from anything else, he still has five Chitauri alien weapons hidden and is looking for an opportunity to sell them.

Even if one alien weapon is sold at a low price of 20,000 US dollars, the total value of five is 100,000 US dollars.

  So...

Buying a car, improving my life—it didn't seem impossible.

Hawke pondered this, and just as he was beginning to wonder why he'd waited so long for the bus, a yellow Toyota Corolla with the vanity license plate "GW521" drove up.

  The window rolled down.

Gwen, with her blond hair casually tied up, delicate features, and piercing blue eyes, appeared in Hawke's sight.

  "Get on."

  "..."

Hawke looked at Gwen, who waved at him, and was silent for a moment.

"No, I'll just wait for the bus, thank you."

  Gwen smiled.

"Are you sure you don't want to get on? The bus isn't running today."

  "Off?"

  Hawke was stunned.

  "When? Why?"

  "Noon,"

Gwen said with a smile.

"The New York City bus drivers' union is on strike today. Didn't you see there's no one at the bus stop?"

Hawke instinctively glanced around.

Indeed, he was the only one in the entire bus stop.

  Shit!

Hawke took a deep breath and looked at Gwen, who was sitting in the car, smiling at him. After a moment's thought, he stood up from his seat, grabbed his backpack, walked to the front of the car, opened the passenger door, and climbed in.

  "Thank you for your trouble."

  "You're welcome,"

Gwen said.

After Hawke got in, she stepped on the accelerator and sped off, taking Hawke with her towards the Queens County Courthouse.

  "By the way,"

Gwen, who was driving, thought of something and glanced at Hawke in the passenger seat.

"The judge for your independent hearing has been changed to Judge Burrows, and the time has been moved up to three o'clock." "

  ?"

Hawke heard this, a question mark slowly forming in his head, and he subconsciously glanced at Gwen.

Gwen smiled faintly. "Your contact number is for school, and the counselor couldn't find you.

I saw you at the old gym at noon, so I guessed you might be waiting at the bus stop."

Hawke finally understood and nodded.

After a moment,he realized what was going on and looked at Gwen, who was driving, and thanked her again.

  "Thank you."

  "Again, you're welcome."

Gwen responded with a smile and looked at Hawke: "I'm a grade student assistant. Helping students is what I should do."

  This is the truth.

At Midtown High School, Gwen, as an eleventh-grade student assistant, has always been recognized as a beautiful and kind person.

Gwen can patiently help students who come to her to ask about knowledge points and answer them patiently.

  For example, Jessica.

Even when Fresh Thompson finds her sometimes, he will patiently answer them.

Gwen will also stand up when she sees a classmate being bullied.

  For example, Peter.

Even when she saw her female classmate Maria being bullied by the cheerleading captain, she would stand up to protect Maria and scold the cheerleading captain.

The most important thing is that Gwen's grades are still very good.

  So...

  beautiful.

  Kind.

  Good grades.

This is what Gwen Stacy is!
