Chapter 11 - CH 11: Grilling up Monster [5]

Chapter 11: Grilling up Monster [5]

The huge boulder made a loud noise as it started rolling forward to the Canyon with unstoppable momentum and along with it dust billowed , also pebbles ricocheted like shrapnel with the sound of grinding stone drowned out the shrieks of these man-eating baboons.

When these baboons saw the boulder rolling towards them, they all started to scatter in panic, their instincts screaming as something dangerous could happen to them and that this was no ordinary battle.

So they looked for an escape route but the valley was too narrowed and a single chokepoint, so they were bound to stay as there was nowhere to run.

The first baboon tried to jump aside but to his surprise his feet hit the resin-coated ground, and in an instant they stuck along with these sticky rocks.

These monsters screamed in frustration, as they thrash wildly to move from this sticky substance and their plan might work if it was a normal glue but this glue only pulled them much tighter.

Then the mob crashed against its back. Then dozens of Man-eating baboons piled in together as they trampled each other in desperation but the resin was spread like a web and they all got captured more with each frantic movement they were trying to do.

Above them the boulder is still rolling down on them, with unstoppable speed.

Boom!

Finally the boulder smashed through the first of the man-eating baboons wave.

Along the bones the way it splinters as the blood sprays in arcs across the canyon rock walls. The cries of rage of these Man-eating baboons turned to shrieks of despair in their faces.

The baboons clawed at each other in their frenzy to escape from this massacre, but the more they struggled, the deeper the resin bound them, so it was meaningless to them.

Adrian stood on the dead end of the cliff, watching the massacre unfold as viewing it with his cold gaze. His eyes were calculating as a logical sense but a spark of satisfaction relieved warmth inside him.

The trap was a massive success because this is not a fight. but it was an execution for these baboons.

The elite baboons at the front managed to hold their ground. As they tried to claw torn chunks of stone. These baboobs have their muscles bulging against the trap at success for a brief moment as it looked like they might break free.

Adrian was already prepared.

He raised his hand upward and used the Fire skill

Then a small flame bloomed at his fingertips, as he poured more mana started growing into a size of blazing sphere. He aimed to cast at the canyon as it would burn it into shades of crimson.

The name of the skill he had just used is— Fireball.

He looked at the monster below and said,

"Burn to death."

Then the fireball arced through the air with spinning momentum and behind it left the trailing sparks. Lastly it landed among the trapped horde.

Whoosh—!

The resin ignited instantly with fire and these flames raced across the sticky surface, it started burning every creature bound to the sticky surface. The smell of burning fur and flesh filled in as these baboons were screaming in pain as they were burned alive.

Some didn't give up as they tried to jump and escape from this sticky substance, as their bodies were baked in half flame, but the glue dragged them back into this burning hell. Some weak will baboons simply collapsed as the flame consumed where they stood in.

Adrian watched impassively. To him, it was just a necessary step—a-controlled purge.

Within seconds, the canyon was bloodbath with the blood of the monster, then a chorus of screams faded and turned into silence only the crackle of flames remained.

And then, the system messages began to flood his vision.

Adrian's lips tightened. "Better than expected."

The average player at his level would have stats hovering around ninety, perhaps a hundred in their strongest area.

His numbers were nearly double even without equipment.

In his last life, he had relied on the sixteen-class advantage to brute force his way through the early game.

Now, stripped of that, he was still stronger. Smarter. Hungrier.

He distributed all twenty-five points into his Strength stats. After that he felt the changes in his body , it felt a heavier or even more solid foundation had been established, as if the world itself acknowledged his new weight, his muscles tightened as his veins pulsed with new power.

Then he flexed his hands and murmured.

"Now with this much strength I can even take down level 15 elite monsters… maybe."

Still, a note of caution flickered in his mind. With only scraps of equipment (white rage) and mismatched pieces even his inflated stats had limits. A golden boss would crush him if he wasn't careful.

Patience. Build-up. Control the battlefield. That was the key.

Far away, other players were still wandering fields, killing slimes and wolves, marvelling at their small gains.

Some of them were sprinting now, fuelled by Kevin's scroll, chasing the shadow of a master they didn't understand.

They would never in this life think of this method that a person could have sought these Man-eating baboons and it's erased an entire valley in less than a minute.

Adrian stood up as he adjusted the strap of his rifle across his back and his eyes can be seen glinting in the firelight of the burning canyon as almost he can't wait for sometime he will receive.

"Finally" he said at that moment.

"This is just the beginning."

He turned next to his newly acquired talent.

[Spirit Eyes (A-Rank Talent): When staring at any target for more than two seconds, you may view their simplified attributes.]

Adrian smirked. "Useful. Better than the base system's vague appraisal. Knowledge is leverage."

He shifted through the loot.

Coins clinked in his inventory are three thousand copper, two silver.

A necklace shimmered faintly with a frost-blue gem. A semi-automatic rifle gleamed, solid workmanship and a stockpile of five hundred bullets beside it.

And then, the oddest of them all: Rotten Eggs.

He picked one up. The shell was mottled Gray, its stench foul enough to sting his nostrils. His brow furrowed.

"What the hell are you for?"

The system offered no explanation. Never ever heard of this item and even in a description manual before, I just have looked at it on my system.

Just what is Rotten Egg x3?

It was useless or dangerous.

Either way, he just used them away and also If there was one thing he had learned from rebirth, it was that nothing was meaningless.

Not in this world.

Then he looks at Rotten Eggs .

He whisper ' Spirit Eyes Activated '

[ Ding Scanning the item Rotten Eggs]
