"I better keep this thing for now."
Adrian bent down just to survey the field which is glittering with loot as it is scattered across the scorched valley floor. Now we can see that the flames had long since died down, but the burned corpses of the man-eating baboons still smoked faintly, as he is proud of his genius mind to came up with his careful trap plan and as result it is a ruthless execution of this beasts.
Yet for all that slaughter, a simple problem gnawed at him in his inventory.
[Your Inventory has insufficient space. Cannot pick up item.]
The floating message blinked across his vision for the third time. Adrian's brows drew together.
"Damn system," he muttered. " Why do we have limited space? Open your damn eye system see all the loots"
"This damn freaking money, I see in a novice town I will be the richest man in the city and now you are telling me it is full."
"So do I have to carry them in my hand ?"
His storage slots were capped at a total of twenty. Every last one of them was crammed with scraps of equipment, consumables, and the odd trinket he couldn't bear to throw away. At least a dozen items on the ground gleamed with light, there were: skill books, copper coins, even a necklace shining faintly blue.
And yet, in five minutes, all of this loots would dissolve into nothing.
In the early stages of Glory of the Gods, every drop was precious.
Even a basic healing potion could be traded for favors or survival.
Adrian knew this better than anyone as his lips pressed into a thin line as a cunning smile . He had to choose.
"Fine. Free a slot the only way I can."
He reached down and picked up the first book glowing faintly white.
[Slash]

[Skill Analysis: Release a slashing attack within 20 meters, dealing 300 magic damage + (50% strength). When the target's health drops below 10%, 2% chance of instant kill.]
Adrian's eyes narrowed. Instant kill, even at a tiny chance, was the sort of effect that warped battles.
"Learn."
A pulse of light sank into his chest. A new symbol etched itself into his skill bar.
Another book gleamed at his feet, its cover a dull bronze. Adrian bent and flipped it open.
[Charge]
[Required Class: Warrior]
[Required Level: 6]
[Skill Analysis: Rush a target within 10 meters, dealing physical damage and stunning for two seconds.]
His lips curved faintly. "Perfect."
He willed it into his body. Another slot filled, another tool for war.
"With Charge and Dragon's Head, I can lock anything under level fifteen until it dies screaming." His voice was low, dark with satisfaction.
A glint caught his eye. Nestled among the baboon corpses lay a small wooden cube, wrapped in faint gold thread.
A blind box.
Adrian crouched and lifted it carefully, a flicker of anticipation tightening his grip.
[Blind Box]
[Category: Special Items]
[Rare items, less than 1% drop rate. May contain equipment, potions, or stranger gifts.]
"Open."
The blind box item added away in his palm, as it released a flare of cold blue light, the brightness making him blind a for a moment. After a brief moment when the light went out , he saw a bottle appear in his hand, it contained something like gray liquid swirling like smoke trapped in glass.
[Loki Trickster Potion]
[Grade : Epic ]
[Drink within five minutes: Permanently increase Strength +60.]
[Drink after five minutes: Permanently increase Strength +30.]
[Warm Tip: Random prank effect, duration ten minutes.]

Adrian's brows rose. "So it dropped this thing…"
Memories stirred. In his last life, Trick Potions had once sold for tens of thousands of copper coins, prices driven mad by desperation and greed. A permanent stat increase was priceless in the early game. The prank effect? Inconvenient, yes but temporary.
He remembered drinking one.
It had boosted his Intelligence by +30. The portion had nullified his physical attacks for ten minutes. He had simply switched to magic classes, laughing while his power soared.
To him this portion bottle is a treasure that is hard to get in this early stage of the game.
This bottle gives him boots in strength stats as high as Sixty points at full potency, so wasting any time he was determined to take it as he said,
"Even if this portion has a curse that lasts twenty minutes, it's worth the money as it gives permanent stats boots.."
Then— without hesitation, Adrian opened the cap of the portion as he poured directly into his mouth and drank it in one gulp.
"Eh" after drinking he wiped his mouth, but didn't feel anything.
After 10 seconds he started to feel sensation in body as his flood of power surged through his blood veins. His muscles tightened, his blood seemed as he felt a burning sensation.
If his body has not merged with the game, if he was an avatar then he would have not felt anything by drinking the portion.
After 10 minutes of this hellish pain , he heard the system notification.
[Congratulations! Strength +60.]
[Warning: Curse applied. All skills disabled. temporary.]
[Attributes -50%. Duration: 10 minutes.]
The elation faded. Adrian sees the curse effect as his expression twisted into a grimace.
"That's… cruel."
Every skill icon in his interface dimmed to gray. His raw numbers cut in half. He moved his body as he clenched his fists, flexing here and there to reassure himself that his body was still the same or it was different to control.
As he examined his body he wasn't shaken, not truly.
He pulled the cooling necklace he had picked up earlier from his package, slipping it around his neck. Its weight was comforting, its faint glow steady.
[Cooling Necklace: reduces all skill cooldowns by 15%.]
If not for the prank, he could already chain Dragon's Head without pause.
"Later," he muttered. "Later I'll show them what continuous control really means."
For now, he made himself efficient as he discarded low-value red and blue potions, one by one, freeing slots for more to keep these lucrative prizes. He picked up a semi-automatic rifle gun along with he kept about 500 rounds of ammunition and several pieces of white equipment which are all at level 8 to 10.
These can be sold as it might be worth small fortunes to these fledgling players.
He crouched again, fingers brushing something different. A shimmer peeked from beneath a corpse's arm. Adrian kicked it loose—and his eyes lit up.
A black blind box.
"Another one?" He grinned. "Today's luck…"
The thought froze as footsteps echoed from the valley's edge.
Green light flickered, illuminating figures rushing in with unnatural speed. Adrian straightened slowly, hand tightening around his spear.
Kevin.
The Tyrant Guild dogs.
Claire Summer's group trailing behind.
Kevin's face darkened the instant his gaze found Adrian.
"You?"
He sneered as eyes flicked when he saw the loot that scattered around.
"Where's that great master? Who killed this monster?"
"Don't tell me that it was you're picking up junk again that others don't use like you are."
"Ha..Ha!"
Then started laughing as the echoed the Tyrant Guild surged forward and next second they snatched up equipment that was in the ground with their greedy hands.
