Synopsis
The gods thought they could keep Christopher in the dark—literally and figuratively. As long as he remained clueless, the prophecy that foretold their downfall would never come to pass. But fate doesn’t wait forever. When Erebus, the primordial god of darkness, finds Christopher and offers him forbidden power, the balance begins to crumble. Through a mysterious system, Christopher inherits the overwhelming force of shadow itself. Now, he must decide whether to wield that power for good… or let the darkness consume him—and the world along with it.

Chapter 1 - Author's Note

Hi there, sojourner! Welcome to my first official web novel on this platform. To help you navigate this story, I've put together some information about the novel, which I hope you find useful. (You can also skip this section and dive straight into the main chapters if you prefer.)

First: This book was inspired by my enduring interest in Greek mythology. At first, I was trying to find a way to write something that readers would love, so I spent a lot of time developing a plot that I wasn't even enjoying.

It didn't take long for me to realize what truly called to me: mythology. The first fantasy novel I ever read was "Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Battle of the Labyrinth." I don't want to call it a coincidence, but Rick Riordan made my first fantasy book my favorite.

I hope to make my work your favorite too.

Second: The system arrives late for our main character. I'm building a whole scenario around the need for a system, so I promise it will be worth the read after a few chapters.

Third: No, this is not a harem. Along with the action, gore, and leveling up, I enjoy a good romance. So, why not blend it all without making the main character a domineering harem king? I apologize if you're a harem reader.

Fourth: Q & A? I can't think of everything, so feel free to ask me any questions (just please be polite). I'll be in the comments section below.

Alright then, welcome to M.O.D. I dare you not to scroll up!
