"What's wrong with him? Did he hit his head or something?" Emily squeezed her brain for answers, but her mind could not fathom why her husband was acting strangely, as if he truly cared.
"It just doesn't make sense." She mumbled as her index finger tapped gently on her cheek as she thought about it.
Nolan was not the kind of man who would waste his time on a woman like her.
Therefore, why would her husband give a damn about her? She was nothing but a means to get his inheritance. Nothing more. "So, stop deluding yourself." Immediately, she chastised herself before her mind formed any crazy ideas.
But it was too late as a thought incessantly nagged at her.
"No! That's not likely." Recalling a recurring dream that she had been having lately.
