Synopsis
"Child without a core," whispered the servants. "A calamity for the Voltare bloodline," the elders mocked. At the residence of Duke Voltare, the evening sky always rumbled, as if the lightning refused to be still. Under the grand roof, four children were born from the blood of lightning, three of whom emitted blue sparks from infancy. Zinux Voltare, the eldest son, ignited a lightning orb at the age of three. Iliya Voltare, the second child, summoned a storm while still learning to speak. Zuban Voltare, the third, could control a lightning bow with just the tip of his finger. And Rayne Voltare, the youngest. Silent, frail, often sickly, his skin pale like clouds before the rain. Even when all Voltare children had shown their innate magical sparks, Rayne remained quiet. No core could be detected, no magical root, no flash of lightning. Yet, Rayne was not the type to give up just because hope was nowhere to be found. He trained beyond his limits every day. While everyone else slept, he was still outside, honing his frail body and strengthening himself to the extreme. No day without torment, and no night without fresh wounds. However… in this world, if you cannot wield magic, even the saying "effort never betrays results," proven by millions, is utterly useless. "As long as I am alive… there is still a chance." "Even if the whole world rejects me, I will keep moving forward." What happens when courage exceeds fear? How does someone without magic survive in a world full of magical intrigues? Follow Rayne's journey, challenging a magical world without innate power, and witness how courage and hard work can change fate.

Chapter 1 - Prologue

Earth. Wind. Fire. Water. Lightning. Light.

The six roots of magic that become the blood of every sorcerer.

Puddles, ponds, rivers, lakes, seas, and the sky.

Those are the forms of mana cores, the heart that ignites magic.

Magic is life, forbidden to be questioned, yet noble to be revered.

A law that knows no face... yet embraces anyone who breathes.

The world of Arkana, the land where magic becomes the highest law, stretches across four continents: Aleov, Adun, Aopix, and Arven.

On the Continent of Arven, three kingdoms. Stunsar, Lira, and Blazzar, compete for glory.

Among them, the Kingdom of Blazzar holds pride that rumbles like a stormy sky: the family of Duke Ardyn Voltare, the Lightning Falcon.

They are born with the lightning root, one of the most fearsome elements after light.

In the residence of the Duke Voltare family, the evening sky always rumbles, as if lightning refuses to be silent.

Beneath that grand roof, four children were born from the blood of lightning, three of whom shone with blue sparks since infancy.

Zinux Voltare, the eldest son, ignited a ball of lightning at the age of three.

Iliya Voltare, the second child, summoned storm winds when she was still learning to speak.

Zuban Voltare, the third, could control arcs of lightning with just his fingertips.

And Rayne Voltare, the youngest. Silent, fragile, his body often weak and sickly, his skin pale like clouds before the rain.

Even when all the Voltare children had shown sparks of innate magic, Rayne remained silent.

No mana core detected.

No magic root.

No flash of lightning.

"The child without a core," whispered the servants.

"A calamity upon Voltare's blood," mocked the elders.

The world did not yet know that the family had been visited by a new life, which perhaps would not be wrong to call a calamity.

Ardyn, the father, only gazed at him with cold eyes, while Georgiana, the mother, hid her disappointment behind a faint smile.

For a family praised for its lightning blood, a child without a core was nothing but a stain.

However... the skies of Arven always hold secrets.
