Chapter 36 - Void Eyes

Si-Hun turned his head just a little to meet their frightened eyes.

Their eyes met his eyes, which were suddenly all black with hints of purple radiating like fire.

Even he himself didn't know why his eyes turned black with only a little white glow in the centre.

Chilling and intimidating.

"His e-eyes…." Ha-Rin whispered, her voice laced with fear.

"I-I-I'm scared. I don't want to die so soon. T-this is scary. We could've just returned from here before." Na-Ri said, her voice trembling.

There was no time to panic for Si-Hun.

Just act.

He tightened his jaw, ready for what he was going to try.

He raised his right hand in the air.

His hand radiated a purple glow surrounding it.

His hand trembled badly.

Soon, everyone noticed it, the monster's grip slightly loosening from its stick, and the light wandered here and there in the chamber.

"STEP AWAY, EVERYONE!" Si-Hun shouted.

All of them stepped back to a corner.

The light could hit anyone.

Si-Hun's veins popped from his arm, and his body was shaking slightly.

His forehead was damp, and he was sweating all over.

"Aghhh!!!" He growled.

With power beyond his limits, which he erased, the wand finally fell to the ground and broke in half.

The monster growled so loud that his voice almost blew everyone's eardrums.

"W-what ill he do now?" One of the men said.

"He'll figure it out. He definitely looks like he can."

Yes, he could.

Si-Hun breathed rapidly, his chest rising and falling unevenly.

His arm still trembled, but his soul was steady.

"I have to do it."

Si-Hun slowly walked towards the monster.

He stood only a few feet away from him.

He looked tiny and easily beatable in front of the great beast.

But sometimes, eyes lie.

Si-Hun lifted his head, just a little, and stared into the monster's eyes.

"Titan's wave!" He said as purple light started to radiate out from him and painted his figure powerfully.

It didn't take long for the force to hit the monster's skin with an unbearable energy that pushed him into the wall, making a crack in it.

The air was heavy around Si-Hun, and everyone was too stunned to speak.

They were at a good distance from him and didn't get hurt, luckily.

Si-Hun ran a hand through his damp hair and breathed out, finally.

"I got no time."

He teleported to the monster who was lying helplessly on the ground.

"I made him weak enough to be destroyed by me."

His actual plan was to make the monster lose his biggest strength, which was the wand, and his physical power as well.

Like this, he could use the skull crusher on him.

Si-Hun lifted his hands and aimed his palms towards the monster.

The monster tried getting up, but before he could.

SMASH!!!

His head was split in two halves, and both halves fell to the ground with a loud thud.

Everyone froze.

No one dared move.

Si-Hun finally sat on the ground with his elbows over his weak knees, which were fatigued by all the power he used.

He always fought with full power, even surpassing his limits.

His breathing was even in a few minutes.

He got up and walked away like nothing even happened.

"Let's go."

"Y-yes." No one asked a question.

"How can he walk away so calmly after traumatizing us all?" Ha-Rin whispered in Na-Ri's ears.

His eyes were back to normal again.

"I want to ask you all for a favor."

"We're listening, boss!"

"No need to call me that. Just…call me by my name." He said, a little chuckle escaping his mouth.

"Oh…and yeah, the one thing I would ask y'all for is to PLEASE not tell anything to anyone about me. Just…say that we defeated the monsters together."

"Why wouldn't he want the praise?" Someone murmured.

"We won't tell anyone. Don't worry!" The guy spoke.

"Thanks. I appreciate you all trusting me."

"What about those other predators who made a team of their own? I don't think they even survived." Si-Hun thought.

"Let's now all get out of here."

Everyone nodded, and they all walked over to the entrance.

Getting out of the air, everyone finally exhaled and relaxed.

They didn't even notice the predator van parked outside until a predator came out and approached the highest-ranked predator in their group.

"Where are the other predators?"

He didn't know how to answer.

"They…parted ways, saying they could do better off alone. We tried to stop them, cause they wouldn't have been able to survive with only three people and such high-ranked monsters."

"Yeah. He's right." The man spoke.

Si-Hun's eyes went to one of those three predators.

He was standing at a distance with another predator giving him water.

"We only got one of the men. Our team will go check for the other predators before the portal disappears. You all are requested to stay here until the rescuers come back."

Si-Hun looked away and rolled his eyes dramatically.

[The police station]

"The lab results came back." Baek-Hyeon said, coming from the other room to Minjun.

"What do they say. Is it human or…something else?" The officer said while sipping his tea.
