Synopsis
Original story! Reincarnation, yeah, typical trope, but what happens when a Hero(?) for fun gets reincarnated, completely normal dude that has a fondness for all life gets reincarnated as a broken cheat, what will he do with his newfound powers? honestly I can't tell ya, I'll probably just make some bs up while I write this, also I'm really bad at punctuation so if it's off, try to ignore it, none of it will be ai either, no ai correction etc if it goes well I'll continue uploading, if it doesn't well, bye-bye ig

Chapter 1 - Reincarnation

"Reincarnation, Transmigration, Isekai... such common tropes, so common in fact that even I've personally experienced it." -Me

(A/N: I'm really bad at punctuation and stuff so if it's off, don't blame me too much)

After getting hit by Truck-kun Minh woke up in an unfamiliiar room with a massive migraine.

'fuck, I'm never drinking again....' He murmured.

after spending 5 minutes massaging his own temple he curiously looked around the room.

"I know I complained about how boring my life was, but never expected I'd get the isekai treatment because of it..." he said as he let out a self-mocking chuckle.

That's right, Minh was an 18 year old high-school student that had just graduated and was also a complete loner, he was about to start studying abroad in Japan but coincidentally before he could even get home from celebrating his own graduation, a truck hit him head on sending him flying.

Before he could even get up from the bed a translucent blue screen appeared in front of him.

'is this one of those "Golden fingers" or "cheats" in those webnovels?' He questioned himself silently as he tried touching the screen but his hand went straight through it.

After trying various things he finally figured out how to use it, he simply commanded it to open, open what? he didn't know, he simply did it, to his surprise a very simplistic layout appeared instead of a game Stat screen or something remotely interesting.

'Limit Break? like as in Saitama??' He wondered as he subconsciously touched his hair and shivered.

"no way! I won't go bald right?!?!?" He said with a strained tone as he opened the system's information interface.

[Limit Break:

An upgraded version of Saitama's ability from "One Punch Man", you grow stronger by doing nothing but if you actively train you'll grow in every aspect whether it's lifespan, magic, ki, physical strength, charm etc infinitely and exponentially. (Don't worry, you traded most of your memories to keep your hair, enjoy! 😉)

"traded most of my memories? yeah that's definitely something I'd do... I don't even remember who you are but thanks for letting me keep memories of all my anime and movies" Arlyn said as he clapped his hands together and bowed slightly.

[Destruction Level is just your current level of destroying something, for example right now you are currently Wall Level, you can only destroy a pretty thick wall]

"That's understandable, I just reincarnated after all, my previous self probably knew it would be boring if power came so easily" he said as he rubbed his chin, mentally giving himself a thumbs up.

Arlyn had always hated most fanfiction protagonists with system's, they always complained when something never went right, like everything should be handed to them on a silver platter, He simply thought they were ungrateful, from getting reincarnated into a fantasy world and given powerful cheats yet still complain about how they didn't obtain an item or ability after a day or two of being reborn.

"how random is "random" exactly? would be cool if I could get an anime girl from this –

sign in" he said as he chuckled to himself.

[You have obtained [Garlic], Thank you for signing in]

suddenly a garlic bulb appeared on his hand as he burst out laughing.

"Pffft HAHAHAHA! random indeed! I kinda like it" he said as he put the garlic into his inventory.

After finishing checking out his system he got up from the bed, went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror, what looked back was an above average young man, black hair that goes down to his eyes, black eyes with a tight jawline and a slightly malnourished looking build.

Suddenly a torrent of memories flooded his mind, finally he figured out he was. Arlyn had reincarnated on a parallel earth but the difference was the complete lack of entertainment, movies, anime and not even any good games, everything here was completely different from his previous life and apparently the only good entertainment source here was streaming.

People would choose various topics to stream about like wilderness survival or make up, maybe even stand up comedy, there were tv shows and movies but none of them were the same as his previous life's and from the memories he inherited, most if not all sucked, not even as good as his previous life's terrible marvel movies.

However an interesting thing was currently happening in this world right now, 2 month's ago strange monsters kept appearing and portals start forming around the planet while humans started awakening supernatural abilites, apparently this world was undergoing "Spiritual Energy Revival", where a previously normal world suddenly became over saturated with spiritual energy where it started affecting everything from land to animals and to humans.

After sorting through more memories he found that he was a complete orphan, his parents died when the first portal ever appeared and he had no siblings. School had become an adventurer kind of thing and completely optional, physics and math were important but learning about monsters and awakening abilities were now more important since this was just the beginning of the Spiritual Revival.

Anyone who wanted to become an adventurer had to atleast clear a section of the dungeon by themselves, the higher grade the dungeon they clear the higher rank they'll obtain, the highest rank you can obtain when you start is a gold adventurer. The ranks are as follows, Bronze, Iron, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Emerald, Diamond, Mythril, Adamantite and finally Orichalcum. Of course no one has reached Emerald and above yet so they're just Hollow ranks for now.

Platinum rank adventurers are able to easily clear lower grade dungeons by themselves and are paid extremely handsomely, this world uses a universal currency called "Gyu" and 1 Gyu is basically 1 US dollar, high ranking adventurers can easily earn up to billions of Gyu just from selling the drops from dungeons alone.

Dungeon streaming is the current most popular type of stream currently, ever since people started awakening powers and exploring dungeons, they also thought it was a good idea to livestream themselves in dangerous or even life-threatening situations, however the public and even government took it extremely well and it became a hit quickly, even a somewhat entertaining adventurer can make thousands just by streaming alone.

Anyone can go into dungeons, yes even civilians, but if you don't gave an Adventurer ID then you're more prone to being attacked by "heretics" while also not being able to use any of the adventurer benefits they have.

Heretics are humans that have betrayed humanity and sided with the Monsters and dungeons, they like to absorb human vitality and kill humans to increase their own power or even make new monsters, while extremely dangerous but since this is just the beginning of the Spiritual Revival, there hasn't been that many heretics yet so they're very rare to encounter.
