Early Spring.
Xiao Clan Market!
Xiao Lin was sitting at a bamboo chair, eavesdropping on the conversation between those sitting opposite him with a strange expression.
It was that first time he left the clan after three years of transmigration.
But since he was incapable of refining Qi, he thought it was best to see what the outside of the clan actually looks like.
"Have you heard, last night the the Qin family produced an eight rank martial arts Grandmaster. They are no longer a small anymore.!"
"What? Is this rumor true?"
"Hehe! Of course! It is even said he send a battle challenge to the Mu clan's old ancestor Mu Jin."
"Hehe! Should we go and see?"
"Go and see my foot! When martial artist clash, Heaven and earth shakes. Do you want to die?"
"Indeed! You should know that this barbarians fighting methods are not something we can get close to. It lacks elegance!" A rather mocking sound sounded from the entrance of the hotel.
A man with a shiny outfit and handsome face walked in. Looking closely, everything he had on was shiny.
Clearly he was from a cultivation clan.
"Hehe! Young man! You are tired of living. With your third level of Qi refinement you dare to speak nonsense about a rank 8 martial artist. Even your clan's foundation establishment ancestor would not dare mess with such a Barbarian!"
The voice erupted from the higher floor of the hotel and it caused the man to retreat three steps before spitting out blood.
This was clearly the work of a martial artist. With just words forced a Qi refinement cultivator to suffer a loss.
"What a fool! Daring to speak badly about martial artists in branch of QinLong restaurant.
Witnessing that young man run away without even getting angry, a strange fire erupted in his heart.
"How come in the past three years since I came to this world I have never heard of martial artists? Why I'm I just hearing of this now?" Xiao Lin had this thought in his mind.
He was clearly at fault for putting all his effort on attempts to enter Qi refining stage but all this was futile.
Right! This Xiao Lin is a transmigrator, and three years ago, he came to this world when the original owner attempted to enter a death retreat in an attempt to draw Qi using a Spititual stone, but still failed.
The Xiao Clan is a fallen Golden Core clan, that had to flee to a remote region just to survive.
Even though not the strongest, the clan is not weak either, as it has three foundation establishment ancestors at present.
Xiao Lin with his waste Spititual roots has no fate with immortality at all as adding the years before he transmigrated, it has been close to sis years.
He was currently approaching fifteen years of age, and also the period when the clan stopped supporting him.
He felt helpless, but at this moment when he heard the words martial arts, his expression became different.
He has seen new hope, even after realizing that the Immortals disdained martial artists.
But what he leaned was enough to tell him martial arts wasn't a dead end in this world.
Even more shocking was that fact that martial arts had nine ranks.
It was just that despite the anger he had, his expression was no longer the same. He had discovered something interesting as he listened to the conversation just now.
As long as he focused his gaze on them, he could see information about them appearing on the panel floating before him.
He tried to touch it and missed, clearly it was something only he could see.
He couldn't suppress the urge and asked, "Excuse me are this martial artists really strong?"
He was clearly trying to probe for information and his question just seemed to have worked.
"Offcouse they are strong! Have you heard of the saying demonic beasts are usually stronger than cultivators on the same level, but even so can easily be slain? Do you know why?" The other party asked a question instead of answering.
Xiao Lin shook his head, clearly he had no idea.
"It's simple! Intelligence! Demonic beasts lack intelligence, especially those at the Qi and foundation stages. In a way, they fall due to cultivators tricks and magical weapons. Martial artists are different. They are intelligent and stronger just like demonic beasts."
The reply was enough to answer his answer.
But the moment he got this response, he looked around and saw no disdain on everyone's faces.
He felt heartbroken to a sudden reality, he thought in his heart "It turns out I'm not the protagonist!"
He was clearly happy he wasn't despised after all nobody in their tight mind would want others to insult them or look down on them.
Looking at the attitude of the young man that had just left, Xiao Lin already had a clear understanding of something.
"Immortal path and Martial path are not harmonious, but they also don't conflict! This can only mean one thing, the two have no conflict of interest!" He stood up, already having made up his mind.
He felt it was no longer possible to sit in the Xiao Clan. He was going to be calm and let the clan expell him back to the mortal domain.
Those that fail to cultivate clearly like him are considered useless for the Xiao Clan that has a vast number of Qi refinement cultivators.
If it was in the past, he might have been unwilling, but at this moment, his goals had changed.
What he least lacked at the moment was a way to get mortal currency.
But he had no plans of doing something stupid, his goal was clear.
To acquire a martial arts technique that best suited him first and thr best place for this was clearly the largest trading house in the market.
It wasn't Xiao Clan business, but had the ability to set up in their Territory, this meant the background was not bad.
He was going to visit the place, but before that, it was time to test the identification panel on some of the objects being sold on the street.
He was able to reach stalls before long, and some had handsome men and beautiful women.
A name suddenly appeared in his mind, "Independent cultivators!"
He knew not all of them were under this category, but he didn't care.
His eyes scanned their objects, but even so, failed to see anything of value.
It was clearly the case of all the objects either lacking any value to him, or being completely useless.
Only when he was completely defeated, did he land has gaze on something whose identification casues him to pause.
He approached the old man, he was clearly a mortal.
From his observation, Qi refiners gave off a unique temperament. They always appeared as though they were glowing for some reason, and he had this urge to slap any that appeared arrogant.
It was just that this was within his thoughts. He wasn't stupid enough to attempt it.
The old man was enthusiastic seeing someone approach.
"Young Man! You have a good eye. All items on this stall have been excavated from an ancient ruin. They are opportunities that can allow one to ascend the nine heavens." The words of the old man made Xiao Lin instantly loose his appreciation for him.
The others rolled their eyes at the old man when they heard hus buttery words.
Xiao Lin on the other hand, picked up a a strange wooden box, charred stick that resembled a hairpin, a worm out page and finally the seed.
"Old man! Stop speaking nonsense with your eyes open. Where is the nine heaven you are talking about located?" he asked as he collected all of the items placing before the old man.
"How much?" He asked.
'Cough!..Young master and I have fate so.." he was about to continue rambling when Xiao Lin pulled out half a silver ingot and placed it in the counter before walking away under the stunned gaze of the old man with the items he had collected.
Laughter suddenly erupted behind him. It was from the stall owners that had realized that young man had not suffered any loss.
The old man sighed, "Sigh! Here I thought it was another fat sheep! But he is not easy to fool. Nevermind, let's add a few objects."
When his gaze landed on something being held by a slender hand. He almost lost his composure.
From identification! He realized the value of the object.
"Blood essence of Baidu Spititual Emperor!" The moment he saw this, he knew this was a massive opportunity even within it.
But he still indenified it.
Blood Essence Baidu: Blood essence of Baidu Spititual Emperor. Taking a drop can allow spirit to transform becoming stronger than those in the same realm.
"I'm indeed not the protagonist!" He was silently crying as he walked away.
