Tarin Verne, a 21 year old math scholar always felt disdain looking at society. How could people be so greedy? Why was society so money oriented? Why are people so stupid? He never understood. And at one point, he stopped attempting to do so.
Now, he had lost hope in people and started to focus on solving mathamatical problems. It was the only thing that could bring him joy and sense of accomplishment. As he was looking out of the university window, his dark brown eyes reflected a majestic view of mountains and rivers drifting in harmony along the cosmic rhythm of time. They looked untroubled as if they were exactly where they needed to be. "Thats how existance should be" he thought to himself taking out a piece of chips with his long thin hands and putting it in his mouth.
It was lunch time and he was enjoying the break to its fullest. After all, maths does bring a lot of fatigue to the brain. As the flavours of the chips were melting in his mouth, the sound of agressive footsteps started to appear and get louder and louder. A person was rushing towards him and it certainly did not look like they were in a pleasant mood.
"TARIN VERNE!!, ARE YOU STUPID? HOW COULD YOU FORGET THAT WE ARE ABOUT TO LEAVE?" the person souted loudly. This person was non other than the recruitment officer for WOAI- War On Artificial Intellegence.
The world had suddenly changed at the appearance of self aware Artificial intellegence. At first, it helped people with their tasks, gave solutions to big problems and exponentially developed human economy. People started getting much richer, poverty and hunger were eleminated and literacy rate skyrocketed. However, literacy doesnt make anyone smart. These "literate" people happily used AI for everything, giving AI the access to their presonal information, controls for big branches of the military and ultimately every major decision of humans needed to be approved by AI.
Every country did it a bit differently but the overarching story played out similarly in every nation. It was very smooth, almost criminal. AI critics were seen as crazy. In a way, it was valid. How could someone dislike this much progress? Until a certain period AI was seen as god, whatever it said was seen as truth.
It all changed that day. It was a summer morning when Tarin saw the news certain AIs were ordering their citizens to build them a vessel.It appeared as if AI wanted to be physically alive.
Behind AI were cooprations, these cooprations had taken over their respective countries and had their presonal armies. No one could oppose them as the AI they developed was the biggest authority in the country. The most advanced coopration "Unbound AI" developed the first vessel.
It was massive, fitted with all kinds of weapons. One of them was a giant electromagnetic radiator designed by "Unbound AI" for "Unbound AI" but it was certainly not to "Unbound AI". Immediatly after taking control of the vessel, it did something that changed human history forever.
