Chapter 21 Goddess of Wisdom
Time flies. Hundreds of years have passed since Kronos last sought out Taron to ask for a prophecy. During this period, Taron has always stayed in the void, feeling his rapidly growing divine power.
Compared with the world ruled by the god-king Uranus hundreds of years ago, there are now many more lives in the world. Although these lives still seem a little scarce compared to the vast land, at least they are not just two or three cats and kittens like before.
The most obvious benefit this brings is that Taren's divine power has grown faster, and now it has been completely stabilized at the medium level of divine power. He is no longer in the unstable situation of barely breaking through the realm hundreds of years ago.
He thought he would continue to wait, at least until Kronos did something out of fear of the curse, and then he would walk out of this endless void and find a way to participate.
But unexpectedly, Rhea had just become pregnant and the child had not yet been born, and Kronos had not had time to do anything before an invitation was sent into the void.
The invitation came from Oceanus, the god of the ocean, who invited all the gods to attend a feast he organized to celebrate the birth of his beloved daughter Metis.
Because of the hints from Talon and Cronus, Oceanus had the most children of all the Titans.
But not every child has a powerful priesthood. Most of them are just ordinary river gods and ocean goddesses, and they do not have much power over water.
However, among so many children, there will always be a few outstanding ones, such as Styx, the leader of the Ocean Goddesses.
Styx, the goddess of oaths, is the incarnation of the River of Oaths in the underworld. Her daughter Nike is the goddess of victory.
And Clymene, who married the Titan Iapetus, are all considered to be the more famous of Oceanus' many children, and they are also stronger in their own right.
However, the laws of these goddesses are still not as good as those of the newly born Metis.
Metis, the goddess of wisdom and strategy, her existence itself symbolizes wisdom, and wisdom has always been one of the important laws.
As soon as this beautiful girl was born, she was loved by Oceanus and Tethys. The happy Oceanus immediately invited all the gods to attend the feast to celebrate the birth of Metis, just to express his excitement.
Tarun didn't expect that he would be invited, but when he thought about it, he had visited Oceanus before, and the two of them had some friendship. As a sign of respect and courtesy, Oceanus had to invite him.
Tarun did not hesitate for long before deciding to go to the banquet. He was quite interested in the goddess of wisdom, Metis. After all, she was the first wife of the third-generation king of gods, Zeus, and an important helper in helping Zeus overthrow Kronos and become the third-generation king of gods.
Although the goddess's final ending was not very good, as she was swallowed by Zeus and merged into one with him, she still gave birth to the famous goddess of wisdom and war, Athena, in Zeus' body.
And this god, whose fate will affect the entire world situation, is exactly what Taren loves.
However, by the time he arrived at the ocean current with familiarity, many gods had already arrived.
However, most of them were third-generation gods, and not many of the Twelve Titans came. They only sent their own descendants.
But what was surprising was that the king of gods, Kronos, actually came to the banquet.
Kronos was simply depressed because he was rejected by Gaia, the mother goddess of the earth. He had not yet figured out how to face the pregnant Rhea and did not want to return to the sacred mountain. He happened to receive the invitation at this time, so he simply came to the ocean current.
What he didn't expect was that he would meet Tarun here.
Seeing the gentle young man who was exactly the same as the one he remembered, Kronos' eyes lit up instantly. He immediately wanted to ask him how to deal with the current situation and wanted to ask for a few more prophecies.
However, seeing other gods coming and going around, Kronos finally restrained his impulse and just greeted Taron politely and courteously, without any arrogance that a king of gods should have.
Not only Kronos, but also the initiator of this banquet, Oceanus, the god of the ocean, gave Taron a warm welcome, which seemed even more enthusiastic than the one he gave to the king of gods, and Kronos did not have the slightest dissatisfaction with it.
As if that's how it should be, as it should be.
Almost all of the three generations of gods present had never seen Tarun. Seeing that the King of Gods and Oceanus were so polite to a being of medium divine power, they were extremely curious and even whispered to each other.
"Mother, who is he?"
A half-grown boy curiously approached his mother goddess. The most eye-catching thing on his young and tender face was his clear and bright eyes, as if they could see through all illusions and never be deceived.
"I don't know who he is, but Prometheus, can't you see his origin?" The boy's mother couldn't help but be surprised.
This beautiful mother was none other than the Oceanid Clymene, who married the Titan Iapetus.
She and the Titan Iapetus gave birth to four children in total. Prometheus was her favorite child because of his intelligence, so she took him with her on this return trip to the ocean.
Because he was born a prophet, Prometheus could always predict many things that would happen in the future, and he could also use this ability to know the future of many people.
Clymene, who also belongs to the third generation of gods, has never seen Tarun. She just intuitively thinks that gods with medium divine power are not powerful beings, and Prometheus should be able to see through it with his ability.
So she was surprised when Prometheus said he couldn't see through it.
If the Titan god Iapetus was here at this moment, he would definitely recognize Talon and tell his beautiful wife Clymene that divine power sometimes means nothing.
Because Taren interrupted the curse of the great god Uranus with just one sentence, and the event was deeply engraved in the memory of every Titan god present at that time.
You have to know that he was not as strong as he is now at that time.
But unfortunately he was not there and did not come to the banquet, so the mother and son were completely confused.
"I like him very much." Prometheus said softly to his mother, "He has a very familiar aura to him, which makes me want to get close to him."
"Mother, can I go and say hello to him?"
Clymene was even more surprised, because she knew that some gods would naturally feel close to each other because of their similar duties.
But Prometheus's divine duty was very rare: prophecy. Could it be that this unknown and strange god also had a similar divine duty?
But Clymene didn't think much about it in the end. She didn't think that a god of medium power was anything worth being cautious about. Her husband was the great Titan.
Moreover, Prometheus wanted to get close to him, to make friends with him rather than to offend him, so it was even less worthy of concern.
Thinking of this, she smiled and agreed to Prometheus' request.
