Chapter 1 - A New Form Of Life

"FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT, GO DIE!"

A furious scream tore through the darkness like a blade, sharp and raw with emotion.

"Shame on you humans! I hate you! I hope all of you burn in hell!"

The same voice cried again, trembling with a mixture of rage and despair.

The faint glow of a single light bulb flickered above a small, cluttered room. A woman lay on the floor beside a table, her face pale and her eyes unfocused. A knife was buried deep in her neck, and crimson blood flowed endlessly, soaking into the floor, the table legs, and even her trembling hands.

Somehow, even with the blade lodged in her throat, she was still trying to speak. Her voice came out broken, weak, each word mixed with a wet, gurgling sound.

"This... this is still better than getting screwed by that jerk of a boss... run away, fucker..."

Her lips twitched with a bitter smile that vanished as quickly as it came. Her body trembled, and her strength drained away. Her breathing grew shallow as her vision blurred, the world fading like a dying candle.

"What a messed-up life I lived... this sucks... why don't I just die... because..."

She could barely form words now. Each breath hurt. Her hands shook as she tried to hold onto something—anything—but there was nothing left to hold.

"This hurts... so damn much..."

Her body went limp, her blood pooling beneath her like a red shadow.

Her eyelids grew heavy. The room around her grew darker and quieter.

"Please... fate... don't make me a human in my next life..."

Then—silence. Her body stopped moving. But something else began to fall—not her flesh, but her consciousness. It slipped away from her body, sinking deep through an endless void.

There was no light. No warmth. No sound. Only darkness.

She couldn't see. She couldn't move. She couldn't even feel her own body anymore.

Then, a strange voice echoed faintly inside her mind.

[Individual's wish crossed the boundaries of existence...]

[Wish Granted.]

[Searching for a new form of life...]

[Success.]

For a moment, she felt nothing—no pain, no warmth—just emptiness. Yet somehow, she was still aware, still alive.

'Huh... what's happening...? Am I... still alive? No... that's not it...'

Suddenly, a powerful gust of air brushed against her. It wasn't sound—more like a vibration that passed through her entire being.

"Huhhh... what was that just now!?"

Her voice trembled in confusion. Slowly, she tried to open her eyes—or what she thought were her eyes.

Her vision blurred, then gradually cleared. In front of her stretched a vast, endless forest. Towering trees reached toward the sky, their leaves glimmering in the sunlight. The air was fresh and cool, carrying the gentle scent of earth and dew.

"Huhhhh... why am I in a forest? And why are these trees so big!?"

She tried to move, but her body wouldn't respond. She struggled, twisted, tried to lift her arms—but she couldn't feel them. No matter how much she tried, she felt... nothing.

"What the hell is going on!?" she screamed, panic rising in her chest.

She looked down—expecting to see arms, legs, or at least a human shape—but instead, she saw something strange. A long green stem, with several leaves sprouting from it.

Her mind froze completely.

Then suddenly—

"HUHHHHHHHHHHH WHATTTT IS THISSSSSSSS!!"

"Am I a fucking tree???"

Her voice echoed through the forest, though no one answered—except a calm, emotionless female voice inside her head.

[Negative. You are a flower.]

Her thoughts spun wildly. She blinked, though she wasn't sure if she even had eyes.

"Wh-who! Who is it!? A ghost??"

[Negative. I'm not a ghost. I don't have any identification.]

Her heart—or whatever replaced it—throbbed with panic.

"Then why am I hearing your voice in my goddamn head!?"

[It's because I was born from your will and wish.]

She fell silent for a moment, unable to comprehend it.

"Huh...? What do you mean?" she asked slowly, her tone a mix of confusion and disbelief.

[In the final moment of your life, you wished for another life—and not to be human. Somehow, that wish crossed the boundaries of existence. And through that wish, I came into being.]

She blinked—or rather, thought she did—and let out a long sigh.

"So what does that have to do with you talking in my head? I didn't even ask for something like you!"

[Because of your loneliness in your previous life.]

[You didn't wish for me, but I am needed.]

Her tone softened a little as she spoke, almost as if the calm voice comforted her in a strange way.

"Now that you mention it... I really don't know. I mean, I get that I'm reincarnated... but as a flower?"

[Positive. You wished not to become a human in your next life.]

"Yeah, I know, but... why a flower?"

[The answer is to protect you from pain and suffering—the very things that destroyed you in your past life. Currently, you possess the following skills:]

[Pain Immunity]

[Poison Immunity]

[Paralyzation Immunity]

[The race of your flower is called Veromu. It is one of the rarest in existence. This race possesses the following skills:]

[Water Resistance]

[Mana Black Holes]

[Evolution]

[Vitality Absorption]

[Vines]

Her thoughts spun faster than she could handle.

"Wait! Stop—stop giving me all this information at once!" she shouted.

[So overall, it was your wish that led you to this situation.]

"AHHHHH!!! Am I the main character of some fantasy Webnovel or something???"

Her voice echoed in disbelief.

"I've seen this kind of stuff in TV shows, but I never thought it would actually happen to me for real!"

[You are the reason for it.]

"Yeah, yeah, I know! You don't have to keep reminding me!" she snapped, clearly frustrated.

After taking a deep breath, she tried to calm herself down.

"Anyway... I'm Sumi Hana. What's your name?" she asked with curiosity.

[I don't have a name, since I was created only to guide you through this world.]

Sumi frowned slightly.

"That won't do. I can't just call you 'ghost' or 'stalker,' can I? You'll be my only companion for now."

She paused, thinking seriously. After a short silence, she smiled faintly.

"What about... I give you a name?"

[I was created by you, so you may choose.]

"Then... what about Aries?" she said softly.

[Aries. Name registered successfully.]

Sumi sighed. "Why are you talking like a robot?"

[Because it's the most suitable way to communicate with you. I can also send text if you prefer.]

"Hmm... I see," she murmured thoughtfully. "So, Aries, how am I supposed to move from this place?"

[You can't.]

"WHAAAAAAAAA—!?"
