One day later...
Giuliano and his marines were in the palace alongside the Byzantine rebels; one of the marines had Greek relatives and could translate exactly what the Greeks were saying.
Giuliano then asks:

All the marines in the room unlocked their rifles, and the Byzantine officers were astonished to see such mysterious weapons pointed in their direction.
Giuliano raised his hand and gave an ultimatum:
"Go back to Venice and forget about Ravenna, or you will be the first officers to be executed in history." Giuliano ordered.
The Byzantine officers rushed out of the palace without understanding a word Giuliano had spoken, but they feared those different soldiers carrying a weapon other than the bow and arrow and the sword.
Then a blue screen appeared in front of him and showed himself in 3D.
