Three years have passed since Wendy gave Yuno and Asta the surname Belserion.
A new orphan arrived at the church about two months after that incident.
It was Recca, the girl with curly red hair and green eyes who was always around Sister Lily.
Wendy also gave her the surname Belserion, like all the future orphans of the church.
Wendy decided to start training at the age of five and has been training every day for the past two years.
Although she has only been training the amount of magic she can release at once.
Inside the demon's skull, a blue-haired girl with her hair in a short ponytail can be seen releasing wind blades from the palms of her hands.
'It seems I'm close to achieving the ability to release [Al Fura], which is similar to the tornado that Yuno used in the Magic Knights selection combat,' Wendy thought.
'The only difference is that [Al Fura] is a tornado made of extremely sharp wind blades.'
"Now I understand why people hardly train without a grimoire," I said, looking at my hands.
"It's really difficult to increase magical power output without a grimoire."
I looked up at the sky, but I only saw the inside of the skull.
I sighed, "But there's no other way than to train; at least I can get used to the spells."
'I think I'll practice Shunpo from now on.'
'Let's see, the Shunpo technique is based on manipulating the flow of your own spiritual energy, in this case mana, to channel power into your legs and entire body to drastically increase speed and reflexes.'
'Then you lift your foot as if you were going to walk and, with a series of foot movements, perform the Shunpo at high speed.'
'By controlling the mana, you not only move fast, but you can also mask your magical presence, making it difficult for others to locate you or predict your movements.'
"Okay, let's do it," I said as I mobilized my mana.
Stimulating my legs and my entire body. I felt everything around me slow down, and then I took a few steps forward using the footwork for Shunpo.
And I only moved 2 meters in two steps.
"Well, that's not what I expected, it was a very short distance."
"Well, at least it wasn't a complete failure, I just have to practice more to gain more mastery and perform the Shunpo steps unconsciously."
And so I trained for two months, practice after practice.
At this moment, my Shunpo can only be considered at the level of the common members of the Onmitsukido, quite good for ordinary Shinigami.
Wendy is lying spread-eagled on the green grass.
The wind flows gently across the meadow, moving Wendy's hair.
'I'm tired.'
I sigh as I lift my upper body, sitting up on the grass.
"It's almost midday, Father said a nun is coming to the church today."
'It's probably Sister Lily.'
I stand up and walk back to the church.
As I walk through the meadows, I think.
'This view is quite pleasant. In my previous life, I always wanted to visit places like this, but I never had the time, and neither my mother nor I had money for unnecessary expenses.'
'This world is so nice, although in the future Lucius Zogratis almost conquers the world, Yuno, Asta, and the Wizard King Julius Novachrono, who is the other soul inside Lucius Zogratis, attack him from both inside and out.'
'And in the end, to compensate or something like that, Julius Novachrono sacrificed himself to rewind time for the entire Clover Kingdom, or the world, I don't remember very well, to resurrect everyone who died in the battle.'
'So there's no problem in the future, unless a butterfly effect occurs.'
As Wendy walks towards the church, she observes the flowers that line the path with an indifferent gaze.
She appreciates the beauty of the flowers but isn't interested in them.
With steps that make no sound as she walks along the dirt path, Wendy heads towards the church. About 25 minutes later, Wendy arrives at the church doors.
Upon entering the church, Wendy heads towards the back.
With a push, Wendy opens the doors to the dining hall.
In the dining hall, all the children of the church can be seen.
"Hey Yuno, where's the priest? I don't see him around."
"The priest is at the village chief's house. He said a nun will be transferred to the church," Yuno says, watching Recca take care of Nash in a basket.
"How's Nash? Has he been crying or giving you any trouble, Recca?"
"No, Wendy, Nash hasn't cried since the priest went to the village," Recca replied cheerfully.
"That's good, keep it up. By the way, where's Asta?" Wendy asks, looking around the room but not seeing Asta.
"Asta is trying to use magic at the back of the church," Yuno replied.
"No wonder I didn't see you when I came in, but don't try too hard, the feeling of magic is natural; when you can use it, you'll feel it naturally."
Wendy walks to a corner of the room and comfortably sits down on the floor.
'Since I started training in magic, my body has begun to change, adopting some dragon-like habits, such as finding the floor comfortable to sleep on.'
'And since there's no entertainment in this world, when I'm not training, I'm either helping at the church or sleeping on the floor.'
"Big sister Wendy, you can't fall asleep, otherwise it will be very difficult to wake you up," I snap out of my thoughts when Recca's voice prevents me from falling asleep.
'For some reason, the children in this world are very intelligent at a young age.'
"Okay, Recca, I won't fall asleep for now," I said as I got up from the floor and sat down in one of the dining room chairs.
"Anyway, Recca, go find Asta before Father arrives."
"Okay, but remember not to fall asleep."
"Yes, yes, I won't fall asleep," Wendy replies while starting to use her magic to stay awake.
Recca confidently goes to look for Asta at the back of the church.
"Come on, as Wendy said, mana is throughout the whole body, not just in one part, and then you release it from your hands, HAAAA HAAAA HAAAA."
Asta points at a piece of firewood. A few seconds later, nothing happens.
"Why isn't anything happening?!"
"Again, one, two, three! HAAAAA!!!"
"Nothing happened, but it doesn't matter, I won't give up!!!!" Asta shouts, motivating himself.
After trying a few more times, Recca comes out to look for him.
"Asta, Wendy asked me to find you and have you come into the church before Father returns from the village," Recca says in a calm voice.
"What? Wendy's already back? You should have told me the moment Wendy returned," Asta said, running into the church at full speed. About 50 seconds later, Asta burst into the church's dining room, kicking the door open—or at least, he tried to.
Just as Asta's foot was about to make contact with the door, a gust of wind blew it open.
Asta, having no footing, stumbled forward and was caught by one of his legs by Wendy.
Hanging upside down, Asta was a little frightened by Wendy's arrogant and domineering gaze.
"U-uh, Wendy, you see..." When Asta tried to explain himself to Wendy, she interrupted him.
Without a word, Wendy began spinning Asta in circles while holding him by the ankle.
"How many times have I told you not to kick the door when you're excited? Last time you broke the kitchen door, and I had to fix it for three days!!!" Wendy's voice was very loud and a little angry.
"I'm so sorry, Big Sister Wendy, it won't happen again!!!!!" Asta shouted as he spun around.
Wendy stopped spinning Asta and put him down on the ground.
Wendy wasn't actually angry with Asta; this is just how they greet each other.
Asta, quite dizzy and with his eyes spinning like mosquito coils on the floor, couldn't even move a muscle.
Without saying anything, Wendy grabbed his head with one hand and used Troia on Asta.
Troia involves the user creating a sphere of energy and touching it to the target's head, affecting their sense of balance.
Asta, now cured of his dizziness, stood up and said,
"Wendy, when my super amazing magic awakens, I'll defeat you, just you wait."
"Yes, Yes, whatever you say, just don't shout because Nash is sleeping," Wendy replied as she sat down.
'But you were the one who shouted the loudest,' Asta thought.
