Synopsis
"Congratulations, host! You have been bound to the Otherworldly Culinary System. The system will help you conquer another world with the cuisine of Earth." More than five thousand years have passed since the Seven Devils became gods. At this time, Shrek Academy no longer belongs to the two great empires, but defends its own city; the Tang Sect is powerful, having become the number one sect in the world. At this time, the Star Luo Empire still belongs to the Dai family, the Heaven Dou Empire has not yet split, and the Sun Moon Continent is still on its way. Qi Han, due to an accidental transmigration, was fortunate enough to be bound to the Otherworldly Culinary System, but unfortunately arrived in a world completely unrelated to food, at a time point without the original storyline. From then on, the vast Shrek City gained a small restaurant. Here, the Tang Sect Master and the Sea God Pavilion Master are enjoying hot pot together, the Ten Ferocious Beasts have transformed into human form to sneak in for some skewers, and the entire Body Sect has come just to eat... "After eating the food here, the food elsewhere is simply inedible." A Soul Master diner is taking a big bite of a pork knuckle. "What? You say I don't cultivate? Nonsense! Only by eating can I become stronger!"

Chapter 1 Starting with a Free Property Am I dead?

Qi Han tentatively reached out, trying to touch his surroundings. His hands were still his own, but they had a distinctly illusory quality.

A multicolored black? Where was he? Was this what the afterlife looked like?

The surroundings were distorted, and Qi Han couldn't even sense the size of his surroundings.

The boundaries of this world seemed so close, yet so far away.

[Yes, you are dead.]

"Who?"

The sudden voice was somewhat erratic, startling Qi Han, who quickly turned to look around.

[This system is an otherworldly gourmet system. Congratulations on becoming the first host of this system. This system will dedicate itself to helping the host promote the cuisine of Earth in this other world.]

The amount of information was overwhelming, but Qi Han quickly calmed down.

"You are my system?"

[Yes.]

"But I'm already dead, what use are you now?" Qi Han said pessimistically. "You just said you're an otherworldly gourmet system? Can you let me travel to another world after I die?"

[Yes, in fact, this system has already completed that step.]

Huh?

Already completed?

Qi Han's eyes widened suddenly. "So I'm not dead?"

[Please be careful with your wording, host. You are already dead, but you've been transported to another world with the help of this system.]

Hmm.

Okay.

Qi Han felt a surge of joy.

As long as he wasn't dead, that was good. He was still young and hadn't lived enough yet.

Several images flashed through Qi Han's mind, making him sigh with regret.

Being crushed to death by a falling flowerpot without doing anything was too tragic.

But it didn't matter, he was transported now!

Thinking this, Qi Han's worries vanished instantly. He turned his head to look around with interest, and the previously distorted colors became much more pleasing to his eye.

"System, is this the world I transmigrated to? It looks quite strange. Where are the other humans in this world?"

[The host is currently in the system space. The host in the real world has not yet awakened.]

I see.

Qi Han nodded knowingly, quickly accepting this setting.

A food system?

Interesting.

On Blue Star, he was a highly renowned food critic and a big foodie, but his cooking skills were terrible; he could only eat, not cook.

Now, with this food system, does that mean he can cook delicious food himself?

Thinking about it, he was quite excited.

And it's another world.

He wondered what kind of world it was.

"System, when can I wake up?"

[Anytime.]

"Then let's do it now."

As soon as he finished speaking, Qi Han felt the distorted colors around him begin to rotate, slowly breaking apart, then reforming, finally transforming into a clear and bright world.

Qi Han woke up.

He took a deep breath of the other world's air, finally feeling alive.

After a while, Qi Han finally managed to focus on his surroundings.

He lay on a simple wooden bed, draped in a tattered black cloth as a blanket, which was covered in a layer of dust.

This made the somewhat fastidious Qi Han frown, toss the cloth aside, and jump off the bed.

A ray of sunlight pierced through the cracks in the simple wooden hut, illuminating Qi Han's face, causing him to squint. "

Let's go out and take a look."

He quickly found the door to the hut, pushed it open, and kicked up a cloud of dust.

The bright light shone on Qi Han's face, allowing him to see a corner of this strange world.

The surrounding area was a simple village, nestled among mountains, seemingly isolated from the world.

People were scattered throughout the village; upon seeing Qi Han, they weren't particularly surprised, with only a few glancing at him before looking away.

He could vaguely hear the villagers talking in a language completely unfamiliar to him, yet he was surprised to find himself easily understanding them.

"Very good, this makes sense."

"System?"

Qi Han silently murmured to himself.

[What is it, host?]

"Where's my newbie gift pack?"

Seemingly unprepared for its first host's helpfulness, the system remained silent for a moment. After a while, the system's mechanical voice finally came through.

[Congratulations, host, on arriving in another world. A newbie gift pack is now being issued: a restaurant of your own.]

Starting with property? Pretty cool, huh?

Qi Han was secretly delighted. He thought he'd have to prepare the shop himself, as usual, but instead, he was given it as a newbie gift.

However, considering his current state of utter poverty in this world, it seemed unlikely he could afford to set up a shop.

Qi Han looked around. "System, where's my shop?"

[Ding!]

[Task Triggered!]

A page appeared out of thin air in front of Qi Han.

[Main Quest 1: Open a Shop .

Please arrive at the shop and complete the acceptance process within three days.

Quest Description: The path to becoming a culinary master is at your feet. Please strive to conquer the creatures of this other world with your culinary skills!

Quest Rewards: Shop decoration of your choice, 1 randomly dropped recipe.

Quest Item: Another world map issued, shop location marked.]

This quest is something else.

Qi Han carefully examined the quest and then asked, "System, what kind of recipes can I get randomly?"

[Recipes from one-star to five-star are all possible drops. The lower the star rating, the higher the drop rate.]

"Is five-star the highest level recipe?"

[Yes.]

It seems it's time to test your luck again.

Looking at the other world map at the bottom of the quest page, Qi Han's mind raced, and he chose to accept the quest.

An ancient scroll appeared out of thin air in his hand. Qi Han opened it with great interest, intending to see what this other world was like.

However, his smile quickly vanished.

A golden five-pointed star was clearly marked on the map, obviously indicating the location of the shop from the beginner's gift pack.

The city where the shop was located was called Shrek City.

Looking further at the largest green area on the map, it was called the Star Dou Great Forest. The two largest countries on the map were the Star Luo Empire and the Heaven Dou Empire.

"System?"

[What is it, Host?]

"Why do I, someone who transmigrated to Douluo Continent, have a gourmet system???"

Shouldn't I be given an invincible system?

Like a system that increases proficiency even with breathing?

Or a system that adds points to everything?

Or even a negative emotion value system would be fine.

I'm quite good at annoying people, really!

[The choice of this other world is random and unrelated to the nature of the system. Please be aware.]

"Fine." Qi Han gave up struggling and glanced at the distance between his current location and Shrek City.

The distance was quite far; to arrive in three days, he had to set off now.
