Chapter 1 - Betrayal

"You bastards! After everything my father did for you!" Qing Yu roared, his voice breaking as he lunged forward, desperate and furious. But it was already too late. His sister screamed, a sound that would haunt him forever, as his uncle's spear pierced her chest. Her cultivation base shattered with the strike, her body trembling violently before going limp.

Qing Yu's fists clenched so tightly it hurt, but his rage only fueled his movements. "No… this can't be…!" he shouted, gripping his sword and swinging at them with all the strength he had left. But his attacks were nothing against their sheer power.

One of his uncles sneered, effortlessly catching his sword mid-swing. "You're strong for a child," he said mockingly, his lips curling into a cruel smile. Then, with a cruel twist, he drove the blade through Qing Yu's chest, channeling his energy through the sword. The searing pain tore through Qing Yu's body, destroying his heart and his internal organs.

"Arghhhh!" Qing Yu screamed, blood streaming down his face, his vision blurring. He collapsed to his knees, helpless, as another uncle stepped forward. "Let's clean up the mess," he said coldly. "An assassin broke into their home and killed all of Brother Qing's family members even his careless son, that will be our cover story one of the uncles said making the others burst into cruel laughter

The scene was chaos and blood. Qing Yu's sister was gone. His parents had already been slaughtered. His home, the only place he had ever felt safe, was nothing more than a graveyard. He could only watch as his life faded, his body growing cold, his mind slipping into darkness.

But even as the last of his strength left him, Qing Yu's heart burned with hatred. "I curse you!" he gasped, his voice barely audible. "I curse the day you were born. I curse every one of you. If I ever get a second chance… I will make you pay… every last one of you!"

A wave of darkness swallowed him, a void so complete it felt like hell itself.

Then… something shifted.

"What… what is this?" Qing Yu thought, confusion cutting through his pain. His body no longer felt like his own. Memories flooded his mind, mixing with emotions he didn't understand. His chest heaved, his mind spinning as the world around him seemed to dissolve and reform.

He opened his eyes, blinking rapidly, his heart pounding. "Wha… what?!"

He leapt to his feet, startled, the new body beneath him light, alive, and strangely unfamiliar. His reflection in a nearby puddle caught his eye, and for the first time, he noticed the subtle changes—his features sharper, his movements faster, his senses clearer.

"What… I've been… reincarnated?!" Qing Yu whispered, disbelief and excitement warring within him.

The memories of that day—the betrayal, the screams, the blood, the feeling of helplessness—they surged through him all at once. And as the pain and rage simmered into a burning resolve, he clenched his fists tightly.

"This… this is my second chance," he said quietly, almost to himself. "And I swear… I will make every one of them pay for what they've done. I will take back everything they stole from me. Every ounce of power, every moment of happiness… it will all be mine."

A cold determination settled in his eyes, replacing the fear that had gripped him in his previous life. He had been given a gift, a chance that few ever received. And he wasn't going to waste it.

The world felt different now. Dangerous. Alive. And Qing Yu, reborn and burning with purpose, was ready to face it… head-on.

He took his time absorbing the memories of the body's previous owner.

They came slowly at first—fragmented images, dull pain, muted emotions—then all at once, crashing into his mind like a broken dam.

This body had belonged to a loyal slave of the Qing family. Not just any servant, but one raised from childhood, someone who had served their household faithfully for years. When Qing Yu's main family was wiped out, this slave had been transferred to another family branch, treated as nothing more than leftover property after the slaughter.

And the irony?

The previous owner of this body had the same name as him.

Qing Yu.

A bitter smile tugged at his lips as another memory surfaced—darkness, burning pain in his stomach, weakness spreading through his limbs.

Poison.

That was how this body had died.

"So even after reincarnating, I still have to watch my back…" Qing Yu muttered under his breath as he slowly stood up.

His legs felt weak, unfamiliar, but they obeyed.

He looked around and realized he was inside a slave quarter room. Small. Bare. Quiet.

A thin mat lay on the ground.

A wooden shelf held a cracked bowl and a water jug.

A small mirror hung crookedly on the wall.

That was all.

He stepped closer to the mirror.

And froze.

"…Damn."

The face staring back at him was handsome—shockingly so. Sharp features, clean skin, dark eyes that seemed deeper than they should be. His body was lean and defined, clearly trained through years of physical labor. Long black hair flowed down his back, neatly tied into a bun.

For a moment, Qing Yu simply stared.

"So this is my new body…" he murmured.

Then a thought crossed his mind.

"…Is this why I was poisoned?"

The idea almost made him laugh. Almost.

His expression hardened.

He knelt on the mat and lowered his head, closing his eyes.

Silence filled the small room.

He thought of his father.

His mother.

His siblings.

Their screams.

Their blood.

The mocking laughter of his uncles as they butchered his family like animals.

He would never be able to bury them.

This… was all he could offer.

When he opened his eyes again, they burned.

"I'll kill them," he whispered, his voice low and shaking with rage. "No matter what it takes. I'll make those bastards suffer. I'll destroy everything they care about."

Something shifted.

(Desire Meter reached)

(Do you want to achieve your greatest desire Y/N)

Qing Yu stiffened.

"What…?" he muttered, staring at the words floating before his eyes.

He didn't understand what was happening.

But he knew one thing.

"Yes."

(Desire System unlocked)

(Welcome host I am the Desire System and I will help you satisfy your greatest desires)

"…A system?" Qing Yu frowned. "The Desire System?"

(Yes you can get desire points for completing missions I will give you and use them to upgrade your stats or buy things from the shop)

His heartbeat quickened.

"How can I see my stats?" he thought.

(Just think "stats" and you can see them all I can read your thoughts so you don't have to be talking aloud like a madman)

'Status'

(Desire Points: 100

Qing Yu

19 years

Body Strengthening Realm: Stage 3

Cultivation Technique: Ground Dwellers – Grade 1

Talent: E Rank

Remark: You are still very weak and useless)

"…Tch."

Qing Yu clenched his fists.

"E-rank talent? Before, I had at least C-rank."

He took a breath and steadied himself.

"System," he thought, "can I improve my talent? And why do I have 100 Desire Points?"

(Yes when you complete missions and gain Desire Points you can do anything)

(As for the points you received them and a gacha box after completing the first task "Survive Death")

(The gacha box is in your inventory)

Inventory.

Qing Yu focused, and a translucent space appeared in his mind. Inside it floated a glowing red box, pulsing faintly like a beating heart.

(Do you wish to open Gacha Box Y/N)

"Yes."

The box bounced lightly in the air, spinning once… twice…

Then it shattered.

(You have received cultivation technique: Heaven Body Forge – Grade 5)

Qing Yu's eyes widened.

"…Grade 5?"

A slow smile crept across his face.

For the first time since his family was slaughtered, hope stirred in his chest.

"This time," he whispered, "I won't be weak."

And somewhere deep within him, his desire burned brighter than ever.

Grade 5.

Qing Yu's eyes widened in shock.

His family's strongest cultivation technique had only been Grade 3, and even that was something only his father had ever truly mastered. The Ground Dwellers technique the slaves practiced wasn't even complete—it was a broken, watered-down method meant only to keep their bodies useful for labor.

And yet…

He had just obtained a Grade 5 cultivation technique.

A low laugh escaped his lips, filled with disbelief and dark satisfaction.

"With this…" he murmured, staring at the floating text, "I can crush them."

Images flooded his mind—his uncles kneeling beneath his feet, their proud sect reduced to ashes. He didn't care if the Qing Heaven Sect was built by generations of ancestors. He didn't care how sacred it was.

He would destroy it.

Then he would build something greater in its place.

A faction of his own.

One that would swallow everything they loved.

His smile slowly twisted, turning cold and vicious as another memory surfaced—his sister's screams, the way those animals had violated her again and again before killing her.

His fingers clenched until his nails dug into his palms.

"If they took everything from me…" he whispered, eyes burning, "…then I'll take everything from them."

A cruel thought followed.

With this face… this body…

Why not steal their wives?

Their daughters?

Let them taste humiliation the way he had tasted despair.

(You have received a Mission

Endgame: Get your revenge against your uncles and the Qing Heaven Sect, the rewards will differ according to how you complete it and how much time you spend

Difficulty --- SSS Time limit: None)

Qing Yu snorted softly.

"I was going to do it anyway," he said under his breath. "But I won't say no to rewards."

A pause.

"System," he thought, "do I get missions often?"

(You get missions if your desire is strong enough, you will also get daily and monthly missions)

His eyes lit up.

"…That's epic."

So as long as he lived, as long as he desired, he could grow stronger every single day.

"Show me the shop."

(Shop opened.....)

The moment it appeared, Qing Yu froze.

His breath caught.

Cultivation techniques—Grade 5, Grade 6.

Divine artifacts.

Weapons.

Pills.

Beast companions.

Items he had only ever heard about in legends.

"…This is insane," he muttered.

His heartbeat quickened as his mind raced.

"With enough Desire Points… I can buy everything. I can turn this whole world into my bitch."

A grin spread across his face.
