Chapter 1 - Wish

[People Of Earth. You are now all lords of your lands. Summon your forces and conquer land to grow stronger. To start your new journey, you are all given one wish.

Rules to wishes.

You can't wish for more than one thing. Any attempts to make a loophole would lead to death. The wish can at most be 1,000 words long. The Wish would be granted as worded, with but a few limitations. But overall, anything is possible. You can word your wish any way you want, so long as the wish follows a pattern and doesn't go against what was worded.]

"Either I'm dreaming, or this is reality." A young man murmured with a frown. His gaze lingered on the empty space where those impossible words had been, a thoughtful look settling across his features — not one of fear, but of cold, calculating consideration. After a moment, he shifted his attention to the world around him.

It was a swamp. The air hung thick and damp, heavy with the scent of wet earth and rotting vegetation. Dark water stretched out in every direction, still and mirror-like, broken only by the occasional cluster of gnarled roots that jutted from the murk like skeletal fingers.

His range of sight was painfully limited — beyond a certain point, perhaps 1,000 meters out, a thick wall of white fog stood like a curtain drawn across the world, swallowing everything beyond it into pale nothingness.

Despite it all, the young man didn't panic. H Instead, he opened his mouth and began to speak

"I wish to have the Gate of Babylon, a conceptual storehouse holding every treasure that could, had, will, and might exist. It's an ever-growing storehouse, holding everything from herbs, weapons, stores, and godly weapons. Just like the Gate of Babylon held by Gilgamesh from Fate, it has everything he wishes, but without any limitations. Be it human-made, alien-made, or even items brought into reality through reality warping and such things. The Gate of Babylon has the prototype of it all, plus more. Be it tech, magical, or other forms. It holds its treasures across creation and beyond."

"As a conceptual storehouse, it can be summoned with but a thought and launched at speeds beyond speed, or be summoned to one's hands. It comes with an auto defense system — as any danger the user faces, it shall instantly act even before the user knows what's happening. It uses the best item for any given moment to ensure the user's safety. There is no limit to the treasures within, be it every type of Noble Phantasm, every type of Zanpakutō, Sacred Gear, and even Dragon Balls. It has every treasure the user could even think of."

"There can only ever be one Gate of Babylon. No one can copy the weapons, or even recreate the weapons seen. Only one person can ever be bound to this conceptual storehouse, and the connection is on a level beyond the conceptual level, making it impossible for one to steal from the user. Weapons shot out can be called back at any time. Weapons destroyed upon being called back would be healed, no matter how deep the damage runs. The weapons in the treasury are prototypes compared to the originals. But just because they are prototypes doesn't mean they are weaker, as they are infinitely better."

"For example, a simple dagger. Its prototype in the storehouse would be a dagger capable of killing gods. A sword capable of unleashing flames — its prototype would have the ability to unleash flames infinitely more powerful. The energy used for all of this is zero, as the Gate of Babylon powers all of the weapons. Due to this, the user doesn't even need much; a simple thought is all that's needed to unleash the Gate of Babylon's full might. The Gate of Babylon recycles everything. For example, energy crystals used would recharge as soon as they appear within the storehouse."

"It's impossible to seal the user's connection to the storehouse. For so long as the user exists in a given place, the treasury is pretty much there as well. But it doesn't mean that the treasury can only open at said point. One can open up an endless number of gates connecting to the treasury as far as their senses can reach, and unleash all of the weapons from within with a thought. Pretty much, it allows the user to be an archer capable of reaching targets across dimensions and more."

"The Gate of Babylon is ever-growing and evolving. Meaning, the treasures within are always growing stronger. At the same time, the Gate of Babylon has the ability to evolve and develop new abilities reflecting the user's wishes. It even strengthens the user, allowing them not to need to train. It transforms the user's body, bloodline, and capability, evolving them to the user's wishes. This storehouse also heals its user at all times, ensuring the user is at 100%. So long as the user exists, the treasury exists. So long as the treasury exists, the user is immortal, no matter what he faces. Even if the Gate of Babylon is destroyed, it shall reform instantly so long as the user or any treasures exist. The same thing for the user — even conceptual attacks, and attacks that reach deeper, try to kill the user, they would find their attacks pointless, as the user is unkillable."

"The Gate of Babylon exists beyond space and time. For this reason, everything that happens within it happens instantly. All concepts of treasures do exist here, but at the same time, if a being imagines a treasure, it shall also appear here. For imagining a treasure births a concept of a treasure. The Gate of Babylon holds all concepts of treasures. The user of this Gate of Babylon is the richest being, for they hold all wealth from the past, the future, and even the infinite possible futures. The Gate of Babylon is ever-growing and evolving — every second that passes, it's greater than its past self many times over."

"The abilities the Gate of Babylon can develop are endless. So long as the user wants them, the Gate of Babylon can develop them. This can happen instantly if needed; it all depends on the user. Whatever the user sees as a treasure, the Gate of Babylon can develop. If by chance a treasure exists that the Gate of Babylon doesn't hold, the Gate of Babylon would instantly begin to recreate it. All of the treasures within the Gate of Babylon shall instantly move, working together with the Gate of Babylon to create the prototype of said treasure."

"The Gate of Babylon has an infinite copy of every treasure within. The Gate of Babylon can also fuse treasures together to birth stronger treasures, birthing a supreme version of said treasure. These are treasures that are infinitely greater than their original prototype. Still, even the supreme versions of treasures have infinite copies. But in the treasury, one can find a treasure that is one of a kind. These treasures embody a concept to the absolute limit, such as a sword that embodies the concept of a sword. Or a sword of destruction that embodies the concept of destruction, and many more types of variation."

"In the heart of the Gate of Babylon exists the absolute treasure, which is the fusion of all treasures. One necklace, sword, spear, and so on that are pretty much the fusion of everything found in the Gate of Babylon."

He finished, slow breath slipped past his lips — not out of exhaustion, but something closer to relief, seeing how the words were written before him, showing he had said 996 words. That had been 996 words. Four short of the limit. He felt like he could do better; for example, he forgot to list the speed at which the weapons shot from the Gate of Babylon could travel, and such things.

So, he went back, ensuring that he made the perfect wish, using the 1,000 words he had to 100%. This wish had been something he had thought about. As someone who wrote novels, he once dreamed of creating a mc with this. But he never got the chance; now it looked like he would become the MC.
