Synopsis
In a dark magical realm, a dying king prepares to pass the Aterfang, an ancient artifact that chooses the rightful ruler, to his eldest son. But before the ritual is complete, the younger prince, driven by ambition, betrays them both. He opens a portal to Earth and casts his brother through it, sending the heir and the Aterfang into an unknown world. With his final strength, the king sends five loyal subjects after them, tasking them with finding the lost prince and bringing him home. The effort costs him his life, leaving the kingdom vulnerable to the younger prince’s rule. Stranded on Earth, the five must navigate a strange, unfamiliar world while searching for a prince who may no longer remember who he is. As the usurper rises to power, the fate of their world depends on whether they can find the heir—and convince him to return.

Chapter 1 - Goodbye Greywoods

"okay... really? that's it"? Heather's voice raised in disbelief.

"Yeah,... I mean, what more would you have me say" Jason said without remorse.

"I just came to tell you that I'll be leaving for New York, you know...for college tomorrow and all you had to say was, "okay?"

"The only thing that surprises me right now, is you being surprise, cause well, it was expected, it was just a matter of time"

" I mean, take a look around , for years now goodbye has been our thing, our anthem if I'd say... Grey woods we know is a small town, and usually each year we say good-bye to our friends and sometimes, families".

"Thought this would've felt differently than the rest" Heather

"And why's that, cause we dated"? Jason

"Dated"? Oh we're in past tense now huh?, great" a tear rolled down her cheek which she quickly wiped off so as to avoid Jason from seeing it.

"Oh comon, enough with the act, we both know why you're here. This is a breakup, isn't it. and hitting the nail on its head is way better than small talk, don't you think.?"

"I hate to sound un-human, that's if that's how I'm sounding right now, but I'm just getting to know you're leaving for college today and in the same day we're breaking up, isn't that enough for a guy to handle."? Jason stood up and took two steps away from heather.

He was now more closer to the water for they were at the beach Grey beach, the town's only means of excitement, a place where people come to cool off, throw party and some well, to break up.

"I'm sorry Jason...I didn't...

"Don't be, you don't have to be sorry. What are you sorry for, wanting a better life"?

Heather stood up and walked closer to Jason, held him by the hand, there was a brief moment of peaceful silence between them as they both watched the Beauty of the beach together, but the moment was ruined as some group of guys playing football kicked their ball towards them.

"Hey Jason, care to join us"? Said by the boy coming to retrieve the ball, he was about same height with Jason.

"I'll be right there" Jason kicked the ball back.

"Well I guess this is it, t'was fun while it lasted though, have a nice flight and a nice life" Jason kissed her goodbye and then head towards the boys playing football

Heather didn't try stopping him instead she began reminiscing on times they had together as she watched him mixed with the boys.

She was still deep in her trip way back to the times before when suddenly a hand landed on her shoulder that startled her back to reality.

"Oh Marie...you...." she exhaled deeply in shock.

"Startled you? Gurl we're at the beach how can you possibly get startled" Marie said as she wrapped both hands around Heather's waist.

"So how was it, you broke his heart yet" Marie added.

"Oh my God I should have known you would enjoyed this.

"Comeon Heat, was any of it real though? you know, since we've only ever fantasized on city boys, even when on your fake dates with Jason. their looks, their hair, muscle and their deep breath sinking down our ears from behind, and....

"And you're mad" Heather Broke Marie's Hold on her and started walking towards the beach exit.

"Tell me already Heat was any of it real" Marie chases her until she finally caught up with her and rested her right hand on Heather's shoulder as they both left the beach

They arrive at home and it was already five in the evening.

And although the wooden gate to the house was obviously not locked still Marie decided to jump off the fence, it was a quick decision for her , even without Heather realizing her plan. but unfortunately she fell through, lucky for her the fence wasn't that high so they were bo damages.

"Ouch, my groin!" she screams out jokingly as she stretches her hand towards Heather who was already in through the gate.

"Still yet to know how and why you did that" Heather left her hand hanging as she made way to the front door.

"Heat save me"!

"Stop being dramatic and come here already you know we're leaving in the morning we have to pack up" she opened the main door and walked in leaving Marie behind With her act.

"Mum! We're here" Heather gave the living room a quick glance and when her mum wasn't on sight, she made way to the kitchen.

The living room even though it wasn't looking that rich it was neatly and beautifully arranged with a wooden table, covered with a purple table clothe.. with a flower ontop, while the small TV stands on the Tv stand with both Heather and Marie's picture standing on both sides like it was a guard to the Tv.

While on the Wall was a picture of Heather's mum Anna with both girls hands wrapped around her.

"Found you" Heather gave her mum a hug from behind. and Anna who was still focused on cutting her vegetables turned and responded to her daughter with a kiss on her forehead.

"And Where's your cousin"?

"Oh she's outside mum"

"Doing what"

"What else? Making a scene as always. You know her" Heather unwrapped her hands from her mum and took the knife from her.

"Here let me help you with that, told you to stop stressing yourself"

"Well I have to be doing something" Ann giggled.

"Yeah cause when you're not working you're still working" Heather said a bit of worried tone.

Just about then Marie walked in, a hand on her head as she walked towards Anna

"Aunt Ann she left me outside alone"

"Oh my girl don't mind her she's received a scolding already" Ann said as pet Marie on her head playing along with her

"Cut!. And that's a wrap" Heather turned towards Marie's and her mum gave them a "quit it" look and then proceeds with her cutting

"So Heather how did it go ....you know with the ...." Anna was ready to know how her Girls day went "let's here it' Marie added as they both waited to hear what Heather had to say.

"T'was bad as awfully expected', so no story there okay? That's all"

"You know if I was still in my Writing days I would've created a novel about you two" Anna said.

"Yeah "the boy you never met" since I never for once brought him home"

"Well I must have seen him around. Besides Grey Woods is anything but a big town.

Heather immediately stopped cutting as she was down but she had a suspicious look on her face.

"making dinner this early, why?" With Heather's growing suspicion she walked towards her mum.

"Don't tell me you took....

"Another shift yes I did but on the bright side I'm still gonna make it in time for both my girls big day tomorrow.

"This isn't fair you said you had today and tomorrow off, I'm such a fool for believing that.

"It'll be fine really" Anna stretched a hand towards Heather indicating a hug , she came close and Anna hugged both her girls. T'was an emotional moment for her even though the D-day for her girls leaving was tomorrow she's already feeling their absence.

"You two should go pack up while I deal with the cooking okay"

Heather and Marie both went to their bedroom to get their things ready for tomorrow, and when they were done Anna came in to announce dinner

They ate together as a family and when they were done Anna was ready to leave for her night shift, she kissed them goodnight and promised to be home early tomorrow, Marie and Anna both went to their bedroom.

And when Marie was fast asleep Heather came out of the house and by then it was already 11pm the stars were incredible shinning, she sat at the wooden bench close to the wooden gate as she enjoyed her star gazing.

Meanwhile, the beach on the other hand lay beneath the moon's radiant reflection, its blue waters glowing beautifully as though the ocean itself had awakened under the night sky. It was breathtaking, peaceful even, but then something unnatural happened. something never seen, nor ever spoken of in legends.

Without warning, the sky ripped open. Not with thunder, nor storm, but as though reality itself had been torn apart by an unseen force. From the opening above, something fell from the heavens at terrifying speed. An artifact.

The impact shook the shore violently, carving deep into the sand and leaving behind a smoking hollow.

Blue lights, bright like ancient magic, sparked wildly around the object, dancing through the air like living energy. The atmosphere itself felt different, heavier, unnatural. And almost immediately, before the glowing sparks could fade, a figure emerged from the darkness, silent and mysterious, and picked it up.

The figure raised the artifact high above its head, and in an instant, a surge of ancient magic erupted from it, spreading across the entire vicinity like a powerful wave.

Meanwhile, Heather was done with her stargazing and decided to head back inside, but she was immediately struck by something strange, almost as though she had suddenly become possessed. In an instant, she was overwhelmed by a surge of blue light magic that surrounded her entire body. Her veins began to glow brightly beneath her skin, radiating an unnatural blue light. Her hair color immediately turned white, while her eyes glowed with a piercing shade of blue, making her look like a being touched by ancient magic itself.
