Chapter 1 - Tyrant System.

His eyes snapped open with confusion as he sat back. He looked around and he was not in the hospital at all. Suddenly he noticed not only he is not in the hospital but he can sit back.

He looked down at his hands and found he was healthy again, his hands were working, his legs working. He was no more a burden of his family, rotting away in a hospital.

Bullies bullied him so hard, he tried to end his suffering but that put him in a hospital bed and made his parents suffer emotionally and financially. He wanted to end his suffering, his parents' suffering, but his control, his will on his body was gone.

He stayed on the bed helplessly.

Now that he is no more that person, he was relieved that his parents would now move on and find peace.

As he looked up, he started to remember everything.

He is 9th Prince Julius Balazar, a disgraced, disposed and discarded Prince of 'State SouthGate', a tiny vassal state charged with defending the Southgate, a Demon Gate, a sealed demon gate. Although it has been more than 10,000 years and everyone believes it is just a story to scare children.

"So I am in some kind of Eastern Cultivation Fantasy world?" Spending years in the hospital, he had lots of time to waste so he read a lot, especially the trashy webnovels which he enjoyed so much because it was all about freedom and heroism.

DING!

Suddenly he heard a chime, a modern sounding ringtone.

[Welcome Host. The dying prince had lots of resentment and karmic debt. You as a Host also had lots of resentment and karmic debt. You both are matched.]

"System! REALLY!?"

[Yes, Host. Julius Balazar's dying wish was for revenge and thus you have been given a rare chance to live as him and take revenge.]

"Umm... okay? I will try my best. What cheat power have you come to give me?"

[Host, I am the Supreme Tyrant System.]

"Tyrant System?"

[Yes, Host. From now on, you will have to be a tyrant or else you will be punished.]

"HUH!?"

Suddenly in front of his eyes a floating apparatus came out. A measuring apparatus.

[Host, this is Tyranny measuring device only you could see. It will measure your every action and if they are tyrannical enough then you will be awarded with points.]

He wanted to ask about what actions are considered tyrannical but the system continued.

[With points you will be able to buy power, boosts, items and other cheat abilities which are not possible in this world at all.]

He saw the meter sitting at zero right now with one side positive and another side negative.

"What if I get negative?"

[Then any earned points will be deducted and if any points are not available then it will start deducting the number of days you are supposed to stay alive.]

"WHAT? But... then how many days do I have left to live?"

[The System has no information on fate, however, you can buy this information from the store for one billion tyrannical points.]

"FUCKING HELL!"

[Additionally, if you die then this new body will explode like a nuke and vaporize, melt and destroy the 1000 kilometers of area around you.]

Julius's blood froze at the information.

"...You are joking."

[The System is not lying or making a joke.]

He stared at the meter. Now to him it is the same as a thermonuclear device ticking at his face. Right now zero, feeling peaceful and looking harmless but one wrong move and KABOOM!

"So if I act like a good person... I die early. If I act like a tyrant... I live longer." Unfortunately, peace for him now is as clear as death and he would take out others with him too.

[Correct.]

Julius slowly rubbed his face as he saw his fingers wet from sweat.

"That is... that is the capital and everything, almost the whole State of Balazar."

[Correct.]

"I... I... I have to run away from the capital... away from everyone. Somewhere in the middle of the desert where no one lives."

DING!

The Tyranny Meter suddenly chimed and the meter dipped negative. To his horror it was straight negative 50 points.

[Host has shown cowardice tendencies. Deducting tyrannical points. No points earned so far. Deducting 50 days from life.]

"ARRGGGHHH!" Suddenly he felt a sharp pain in his heart as if someone stabbed him. He immediately lost control of his body as his head spun and his vision blurred.

Julius collapsed back onto the bed, clutching his chest as he started getting the vision of him being tied to that hospital bed again.

"No... no... NOOOO!" Rage flared in him and he sat back up.

"You MOTHERFUCKER! That was just a thought!"

[You cannot fool the System, Host. That was not only a thought, it had intent too. The Tyrant System evaluates intent.]

DING!

Suddenly the meter chimed again and the meter raised up positive five points.

[Tyrannical intent detected. +5 Points.]

"Huh?..." He was confused for a moment. "Cursing at you counts as points too?"

[The Tyrant System evaluates intent.]

"Then FUCK YOU!"

[Tyrannical intent detected. +2 Points.]

"FUCK YOU!"

[Tyrannical intent detected. +2 Points.]

"Fuck you."

Nothing happened.

"Huh? What is wrong... why did that not count?"

[That was not tyrannical intent but a scamming intent.]

"FUCK OFF!"

[Tyrannical intent detected. +5 Points.]

"FUCK YOU! FUCK THE WORLD!"

[Tyrannical intent detected. +5 Points.]

His resentment towards the world was pure because he spent so much time tied to the bed.

"FUCK THE WORLD!"

[Tyrannical intent detected. +5 Points.]

"Fuck the world!"

Again nothing.

"Fuck the world?"

The meter did not move at all.

"Heh... cannot scam you at all, right?"

The System did not answer at all.

He looked at the total and saw he was still in negative points.

"What about the store? Show me what I can buy."

A store panel opened in front of him showing various items he can buy.

"Whoa, so many items!?" He looked at the first item. "Longevity Pass?" He read the description.

Longevity Pass: Adds one day of life. Cost: 10 tyrannical points.

"WHAT!? WHAT SCAM IS THIS!? You took my 50 days worth of life for negative 50 points but to replenish my 50 days back I would have to spend 500 points!?"
