Chapter 1 - Prologue: What Happened?

2027. It was supposed to be a normal year. But for martial artists, it was a brand-new year to impress the world. A major martial arts competition was being held in the USA. Fighters from all over the globe were gathering to compete—karate, taekwondo, kickboxing, Muay Thai, and more were all allowed.

The excitement wasn't just among the fighters; the audience had been waiting for this moment for months. News of the event spread like wildfire, fans debated who would win, and rumors swirled that the competition might even be scripted.

No one could wait for the showdown. Little did anyone know, something unimaginable was already unfolding behind the scenes.

March 15th, 2027. The day of the competition had arrived. The world watched the live stream in anticipation, hoping their favorite fighters would triumph.

The director stepped onto the stage, addressing the global audience.

"Ladies and Gentlemen… the day you have been waiting for has finally arrived!"

The stadium erupted with cheers as fans caught sight of the fighters. Cameras captured the excitement—the chatter, the laughter, the intense anticipation.

The director continued, voice booming.

"Today we will witness not just one, but the world's best fighters, battling for their fans and families." He scanned the crowd, about to continue.

"As we all know tha—"

Suddenly, a staff member ran toward him, face pale and eyes wide with fear.

"Mr. Roger Brown!" he called, panting, clearly in a hurry.

Roger's smile vanished.

"What is it?" he asked cautiously.

The staff member made direct eye contact, trembling.

"I've… I've received calls from every martial arts club…" He paused, swallowing hard, eyes widening even more.

A chill ran down Roger's spine. Something felt wrong.

"What is it? Speak!" he demanded, his voice shaking.

The staff member finally blurted out:

"They've… all disappeared. In a blink of an eye!"

Roger froze. The microphone slipped from his hand and clattered to the ground. Words failed him.

Around the world, viewers stared at their screens in disbelief. Screams of anger, cries of shock, whispers of confusion filled homes everywhere.

Roger sank to his knees, head in his hands.

"God… what the hell just happened?"
