Chapter 3 - A flower...? that talks!?

While getting Caught up in his own thoughts, Lucas had tripped on a stick and fell 25 feet down a hole in MT. Ebott.

"W-Where am I?" he asked himself. Lucas looked below himself to see that he had landed on a flower bed the was full of yellow looking dandelions.

"This must be why I'm still alive.." he noted. Lucas got up to see he was surrounded by a dark room full of nothing, or at least he couldn't see anything. The only clear thing was a grey pathway leading towards giant doors with and type of bird imprinted on it. He took a deep breath and opened the giant doors and walked through.

"Is that... a flower? In the middle of nowhere?" Lucas said out loud.

"Indeed it is!" someone shouted. Lucas stood there looking around to see if he could find the person who had replied to him.

"I'm right in front of your dummy." the voice said in a disappointed manner. Lucas looked in front of him only to meet eyes with the flower. He looked at the flower confused then squinted his eyes to see the whole face of the flower.

"Ahem, Howdy! I'm Flowey, Flowey the flower!" The flower shouted. "what's your name human?" the flower asked.

"I-I'm Lucas..." he said in a quiet tone. "Am I dreaming?" Lucas asked the flower.

"Nope! this is real" the flower assured. "Welcome to the underground! the place where the humans sealed all monsters after the war!" the flower explained. "It's been a while since another human had fallen into the underground," the flower said in a calm tone.

"More humans had fallen into the underground?" Lucas asked.

"Yup! humans just like you! they were small" the flower explained. "They were all really good kids, but sadly they're all gone" the flower added. Lucas stared at the flower trying to process the part that most of the humans that have fallen into the underground have been children.

"Let me tell you about the underground human!" the flower said. "As you know the Underground is full of monsters" the flower began. "The monsters here are really nice in charming and will accept anyone that encounters them" the flower explains. "Humans can roam freely without a care in the world!" the flower says excitingly. "Monsters who join the Royal Guard become strong by training themselves and by these little things" The flower explains while lifting forward one of his leaves. White little pellet looking things appeared above the flower's head. Lucas looked at the flower amazed.

"These are....err...friendliness pellets...yea!" the flower said. "To get stronger monsters have to catch and absorb these friendliness pellets!" the flower explained "So why don't you try and catch and absorb the friendliness pellets?" the flower asked

"Well if it means I can get stronger.. then I guess so," Lucas said as he reached his hands out to grab them. The flower placed his leaf out which made the pellets float towards Lucas' hand.

"Now all you have to do is grab them!" the flower said. Lucas placed his hand around one of the pellets closed his eyes while closing the pellet into his palm.

"AHHHH" Lucas screamed in pain. He looked at his palm to see that the skin to his palm had been burnt so bad that he could nearly see the bone.

"heheHAHAHAHAHAHhehehheAHAHAHAHA!!!" the flower laughed maniacally. "You foolish child! Everything I said was a lie! Each child that has dropped down here has been brutally murdered! If a monster sees you, you'll be killed right on the spot!" the flower explained. Lucas looked up at Flowey with tears in his eyes.

"B-But why..?" Lucas asked while whimpering.

"Because in this world it's only kill or be killed! And I'm not taking those chances!" The flower explained while laughing. Flowey threw his leaf forward sending more of the deadly pellets flying at Lucas barely giving him time to react.

"hehehHAHAHAHA die!!" Flowey screamed. The pellets ended up missing Lucas while one skid past his left eye burning some of the skin.

Lucas screamed in pain, he dropped down to the floor gripping his left eye as blood ran down his hand.

"Oh? You aren't dead yet? Oh well, more fun for me!" Flowey laughed. Lucas' soul had once awakened again making a force that expands while destroying everything in its way. "Oh, I have never seen this soul before... I'll be here another time," Flowey said while disappearing into the ground... Lucas sat there on the floor trying to grasp reality. He had no other choice but to move forward and destroy everything in his path, and that's exactly what he's gonna do...
