Synopsis
Whisked away and stamped with the name Juliana— she is anything but happy. Despite not being able to remember her name, she remembers everything else. Her lucrative job as a mercenary, her accidental death by alcohol poisoning. It’s not like she had anything worth mentioning in her other life. All she did was murder and got paid for it. Nothing truly worth mentioning. Now she had a family, slightly dysfunctional, but a family no less. No friends yet, but she’d get there. Eventually. Like everything, it couldn’t just be simple. Juliana couldn’t help but notice the dangerous undertones that come along with nobility. Her father’s less than noble morals, and her mother’s underhanded tea parties. Who cares if she had to pick up the slack. And if she just so happens to steal the heart of a commoner boy— who would dare question her?

Chapter 1 - Prologue.

Ripping apart the lower portion of my gown, I followed after her as silently as possible. I watch her through lowered eye lids. My lips spreading into a discrete grin as I see her cut through a alleyway.

Glancing over my shoulder, I ran after her, tackling her to the floor with my hands clasped around her throat. Squeezing and squeezing— her hands pry against mine, staring up at me in surprise and terror. I watch as her face turns dark red, her lips agape and desperate saliva dribbling from the corner of her mouth.

All I can think of is how much I want to enjoy this.
