In the middle of the forest, a young man sat in meditation. After a few seconds, his breath became misty and cold. Then, markings appeared on his body, starting from below his shins and spreading across his skin like wildfire. A suffocating aura began to emit from him, spreading out and completely freezing his surroundings.
After a while, the aura vanished as if it had never been there, taking the markings with it, leaving only a subtle tattoo on the sides of his neck.
When he opened his eyes, he looked around in surprise.
Standing up, the young man said, "Since I have to leave this place, let's see what I can do." He began running at a speed that would put any vampire to shame, leaving behind an area of blue ice and deep snow that was completely frozen.
As the aura vanished, all creatures in the forest either protested or screamed in joy, as if sensing the arrival of their king. As for the intelligent ones, they all felt exposed in the presence of that power. Only one person reacted differently.
Rosalie Cullen's View.........................
I was relaxing in the living room with the rest of my family. Edward was playing the piano. Alice and Jasper, Esme and Emmett, were cuddling. We were all sitting there until a dreadful pressure suddenly hit all of us. After a few terrifying seconds, the feeling vanished, and then I started to feel warm and fluffy.
I looked around to find my family on their knees, expressions of pain etched on their faces. I rushed over to Alice and Jasper, and the moment I touched them, they felt a little better. Surprised, I did the same to the rest. After a moment, the pressure was completely gone, leaving me with an odd, empty feeling.
"What the hell was that? And why did you react differently to that kind of presence? Even now, you feel lonely because it's gone," Edward said, looking straight at me. Although we were used to him prying into our minds, he still pissed me off every goddamn time.
"HEY, FIX YOUR PERVERT HOBBY BEFORE YOU QUESTION SOMEONE! And in case you didn't notice, I DON'T HAVE A DAMN IDEA! USE YOUR BRAIN!" This burst of anger surprised my family, but Alice was clearly enjoying... 'This vixen. She saw it coming,' I thought.
Thinking quickly, I jumped at Alice and placed her in a headlock. "Out with it now!" I tightened my grip a little.
She just laughed. "Okay! Okay! Just let me go!"
I sighed and looked at her with a smile. She really knows how to brighten the mood.
While I was tussling with Alice, a shocked voice came from behind. "T... TH...THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!!!"
'And this one really knows how to destroy it,' I thought, turning to Edward.
He looked at us and began to explain: "While we were under pressure, Alice saw a vision. She saw Rosalie sitting in the open sun but not shining at all, and her eyes were blue! And if that's not surprising enough, a little later, a man with wings landed and looked DIRECTLY at Alice in the vision, smirking. He said, 'You should head back; that's enough. And tell Edward to stop trying to look inside Rose's mind before pissing my past self off, or he'll be in for a hell ride.'"
We all looked at Alice as she smirked at Edward. "Well, he's actually right, but he missed the part where he said, right before the vision ended, 'Well, knowing him, he'll know before even you had the chance to tell. Emo, pervert and mood-dumper three-in-one. Sigh. I feel sorry for you guys.'"
We all stared at her with an "ARE YOU KIDDING?" expression.
Alice looked at us and shrugged. "What? It's true! You can ask him," she said, pointing at Edward.
He sighed and nodded. As if waiting for his confirmation, Alice added, "Also, he didn't call him Edward but 'Edweird.'"
On that, we all burst into laughter. Emmett slapped his leg. "I like him already without even meeting him!"
Edward glared at them before heading to his room.
I looked at Alice. She just raised her hands. "Alright, his name is Leonard Rageheart. He's an orphan who just moved here last year but dropped out of school. You will meet him after he gets back to school, and from what I saw, he will be all over you from the first day."
I was so happy that I would finally meet him, and that he was part of the supernatural world. I jumped at Alice, hugging her and thanking her, while my family looked at me with warm smiles.
