Chapter 26 - Warrior girl Sula rides a flying horse

The dinosaurs stuck their heads out of the castle windows, while the little monsters crept out from under the door. From the top of the tall tree, the warrior shouted, "Come on, soldiers! Shoot arrows!" Arrows flew from every direction like rain. Some struck the dinosaurs, but this only made them more agitated.

Monstrous insects multiplied and approached the tree, attempting to climb it. Soldier Sula, guarding the warrior, looked down and warned, "Warrior, look below—there's a gathering of insects!"

The warrior glanced downward, then suddenly raised his head—and came face to face with the dinosaur Shush, jaws wide, ready to devour him. Shush hissed, "You are their leader, and you have the keys."

Sula shouted to the soldiers to throw sharp logs at the tree, but the insects swarmed the logs, devouring them and blocking the attack.

Shush grabbed the warrior. As it lifted him, the warrior plunged his sword into the dinosaur repeatedly, but it had little effect. The dinosaur pressed him against the castle walls. From the top of the tree, Sula fired her arrows, while her tears fell like burning drops. The fiery tears set the insects ablaze.

The insects dove underground and touched ancient frogs, which woke, leapt to the surface, and absorbed the fiery tears. The frogs grew enormous, and from their ears emerged flying horses. The frogs and flying horses trampled the monstrous insects. Terrified, the soldiers fled to the village, fearing the frogs' power.

The flying horses, each carrying massive keys, struck the dinosaurs' heads, including Shush, and surrounded him. The leader of the flying horses, named Sil, flew toward the warrior carrying a key. "Warrior, grab the keys!" Sil called.

The warrior seized the key. Sil carried it to the village, dropped it aside, and returned to the battle. The flying horses defeated the dinosaur monster, which vanished completely. They returned to the tree and carried Sula. Astonished, she sang:

"O birds, your food is tears,

Beasts feed on fire.

Fly me wherever you wish,

And never lose your keys.

You gave us the castle keys,

O birds, take me to the warrior.

Are you birds… or horses?

O king's horse,

The warrior awaits you—leave your friends."
