Chapter 1 - Chapter 1- Rebirth In Morden World

Immortal World — Tong Zhou Continent — Local Brothel

Soft candlelight flickered across the crimson-draped room, casting hazy shadows on the walls. The air was thick with the scent of wine, perfume, and desire. On a silken bed, a man sat with a woman on each side, their laughter mingling with his low chuckles as he held them close by the waist.

This man was Yang Fen.

Once hailed as the greatest cultivator in the Immortal World, he had stood at the pinnacle of power. In his prime, his very name made seasoned cultivators tremble. No one dared to speak above him, let alone challenge him. He had reached heights others could only dream of.

But time flowed like a river, and people changed.

Now, Yang Fen was no longer the revered cultivator destined to break the heavens. He had abandoned the sword for wine, spiritual enlightenment for the pleasures of the flesh. Once, people whispered with awe, "Yang Fen will lead us to a new realm of cultivation." Now, they scoffed, "He'll never touch the peak again."

His old friend Huan Li had tried to stop him, pleading, "We must become stronger, brother. Not weaker." But Yang Fen didn't listen.

As he laughed and leaned in to indulge in the night's carnal delights, a sudden fog clouded his vision. The world around him dulled. His eyes lost focus. The laughter faded. Then, darkness swallowed everything.

Modern Earth — Eastern China — Shandong — Jinan City

The night wind whispered across the Red Bridge, cold and indifferent. A young man stood at the edge, his hands gripping the cold metal railings. His face was pale, soaked in sorrow. Tears glimmered in his eyes as he stared down at the dark waters below.

He thought of his mother. He thought of his little sister.

And then he jumped.

The splash echoed briefly, then silence returned to the world. Deep beneath the surface, his eyes slowly closed. His body stilled. Life slipped away.

And then—golden light descended from the sky like a divine spear.

It pierced the water, traveling deeper and deeper, until it entered the lifeless body at the bottom. A strange warmth spread.

The man's eyes flew open.

He gasped, bubbles rushing from his mouth. His limbs flailed in panic as he looked around. Everything was blurry and cold.

"Huh? Where… where am I? Why am I underwater? Wasn't I just about to have fun with those two women?"

He kicked furiously and began swimming toward the surface. Moments later, he burst from the river, coughing, water pouring from his mouth.

He looked around, but nothing was familiar. No spirit trees, no celestial peaks, no immortal palaces.

He tried to channel his qi.

Nothing.

"What the fuck? My cultivation… it's gone? Am I just a normal person now? What is this place?"

Panic welled up in his chest. He struggled toward the riverbank, dragging himself onto the concrete. His soaked clothes clung to him as he staggered to his feet and looked around.

Tall buildings. Flashing lights. Strange metallic beasts moving on wide stone paths.

This was not the Immortal World.

He screamed into the night.

"Ahhhhhhh! Where am I? What kind of world is this?!"

Then, something caught his attention—his hands. His arms. His body.

He rushed back to the river, staring into the water's reflection.

A different face stared back.

"What… I'm in someone else's body?"

His mind throbbed with pain. Visions flooded his thoughts—memories that weren't his. Names, places, voices, emotions. All alien.

He clutched his head, groaning as the pain grew unbearable.

Then everything went black.

He collapsed to the ground, unconscious.

Morning — Earth, Jinan City

The early morning light broke across the horizon, casting a soft glow over the streets. A gentle breeze stirred the leaves as the city slowly came to life.

Yang Fen's eyes fluttered open.

He found himself lying on the cold pavement beneath the Red Bridge, his body aching and damp. A uniformed security guard was shaking his shoulder, looking mildly annoyed.

"Hey, kid," the guard said gruffly. "This isn't a place to sleep. Get up. It's already morning."

Yang Fen blinked at him, dazed. After a pause, he replied with a weak smile, "Ah, sorry. I must've passed out while walking."

He slowly stood up, brushing dirt from his clothes. His limbs felt strange—foreign, yet somehow familiar.

So this body's name was also Yang Fen, he thought, memories slowly settling in like dust on forgotten shelves. What are the odds?

He bowed slightly to the guard. "Sorry again," he muttered, then began walking along the paved sidewalk.

This world is called Earth. And these strange metal beasts that move along the black roads… they're called cars and bikes. It's not qi-powered artifacts or flying swords—but technology.

As he made his way home, he let the memories of this world's Yang Fen resurface.

This body's previous owner… ended his life because he was deemed useless. No job, no way to support his family. He chose suicide rather than face the shame. What kind of madness is this? Just because of that? This world… is full of fools.

He stopped mid-step and raised his hands, studying his palms. Then, he took a deep breath and closed his eyes.

He tried to sense it—what he had relied on all his life.

To his surprise, a faint but real spiritual energy swirled around him.

It was thin, scattered… but it was there.

His eyes lit up.

"Yes… I can cultivate in this world."

Hope surged through his veins. He clenched his fists.

With renewed purpose, he turned left toward what the memories told him was "home."

But just as he rounded the corner, a sudden impact knocked him slightly off balance.

A girl had collided with him.

She fell backward, landing ungracefully on the ground. She wore short denim pants and a loose white shirt, her long pink hair tied in a messy ponytail. Her eyes were large and black like ink, filled with surprise and irritation.

Yang Fen looked down at her, his gaze naturally sliding over her curves and resting on her chest.

A glint of lust flashed across his face.

The girl noticed. Her eyes narrowed. She jumped up quickly, rubbing her sore backside.

"You creep! What are you staring at?" she snapped.

Yang Fen turned his head slightly and replied with maddening calm, "Your chest."

The girl's face turned crimson. For a second, she seemed completely stunned by how casually he'd said it.

Without another word, she spun on her heels and ran off, cursing under her breath as she disappeared down the street.

Yang Fen watched her go, his lips curling in a shameless smirk.

What a figure… But in this world, you need consent. If I try anything without it, they'll probably kill me or throw me in prison.

He sighed and continued walking, eyes now filled not just with lust—but curiosity.

This world… might be even more interesting than I thought.
