I had not been able to get a shut-eye since she said that. 'She wants to be my friend,' I repeated countless times in my head to make sure I wasn't getting things wrong.
No one ever wanted to be my friend. In fact, for all of my life, I had always been an outcast, even up until now. I wasn't regarded as an alpha like my brother, but still, I have to worry because I was used to the treatment.
The only person who gave me a bit of respect was my brother Kai, and now, I don't even deserve to be close to him. I had betrayed him in an easy, unimaginable way, and I couldn't even think straight.
Maybe that was what awakened the sleeping monster in me.
After sitting and pondering for a while, I stood up, walking out of the house just to get some fresh air. I guess it was too much for me to take in, or too much for me to handle.
As I stood there, memories came rushing in, and I kept quiet, reminiscing about it like it was yesterday.
