In the year 1484 of the Haiyuan Calendar, at the Valley of the Gods.
A skinny kid with black hair and golden pupils stared blankly at everything around him.
Wasn't he just saving someone? How did he end up here?
Was the child okay? After all, it was such a big truck…
A truck? Holy crap! Did I just get lucky?!
Zaki slowly pieced things together in a daze. Looking around, he saw the people nearby—ragged, haggard, and dressed in scraps.
A thin white robe was considered clothing here. Zaki looked down at himself and saw he was wearing the same, with cuffs stained black and threads fraying everywhere.
It looked worse than a prison uniform! At least prison uniforms didn't have this awful double-color striped pattern.
What the hell is going on? Who am I? Where am I? Where do I go from here?
Zaki's head spun. Memories surged like waves, and slowly, he understood the situation.
His name was Zaki. He was in the Valley of the Gods, now reduced to one of the slaves prepared by the Celestial Dragons for their hunting competitions. Along with the indigenous people of this island, there were 100,000 total "prey" for the Celestial Dragons to hunt and kill for fun.
Even though he was only ten years old, Zaki looked down at his skinny arms and legs and sank into despair.
"Are you okay?" A bearded man looked at the dizzy Zaki and reached out to help.
Zaki instinctively pulled back. He didn't trust anyone!
"I'm fine," he muttered.
Celestial Dragons. The Valley of the Gods. He had read the manga before—he knew roughly where he was. But liking to read One Piece didn't mean he wanted to live in this hellish world!
Is this the same hunt that Rocks D. Xebec disrupted? If not, I can't use that plot advantage, and I have no idea how to escape!
This was worse than death.
This world was insane. The ruling class was corrupt and cruel. Slavery, piracy, and feudalism ran rampant. Chaos reigned everywhere. Civilization barely connected across seas, and even the islands weren't on the same level.
Some islands had advanced tech, while others were still in barbaric times—where cannibalism and blood rituals existed.
This game server has been open for 900 years, and it hasn't entered the next season! The game balance is trash!
"System! System!" Zaki desperately tried every method to summon a cheat ability, but nothing responded.
The golden finger was like a nuke—you could joke about not needing it, but when it mattered, you better have one.
Just as Zaki started to despair, the crowd around him suddenly screamed.
Everyone ran like they had seen a predator. Zaki turned, and his pupils shrank—
A bloated, fat man was approaching, surrounded by bodyguards in black suits.
Even the loose white robe couldn't hide his fatness. His massive belly bulged, making the robe ride up comically.
His face was buried under layers of fat, his chin blended into his neck, and heavy eye bags drooped under his eyes. Finally, on his head sat a large transparent bubble-like helmet, like a fish tank.
Saint Bacchus Juro, a Celestial Dragon, noticed someone staring at him. Among all these filthy slaves, one skinny child's golden eyes looked at him differently, and it made him sick.
The body Zaki now inhabited had been abused by the Celestial Dragons before. But instead of fear, Zaki's gaze was calm and curious—pure instinct.
Bacchus Juro lifted his arm, holding a special double-barreled golden flintlock rifle. It was custom-made just for this "game." Double barrels meant double the bullets! He would rank high for sure!
But first, he'd kill this annoying little brat.
"Bang! Bang!"
The rapid shots left Zaki stunned for a moment. His mind screamed conflicting messages—one told him this was a gun, the other screamed Run! Run and don't look back!
The bearded man from earlier grabbed Zaki and shoved him forward, using the force to sprint ahead.
A bullet zipped past Zaki's nose and struck the man in the chest. Blood sprayed, and the man collapsed, his body soaking in crimson.
Zaki's mind went blank. His body acted before his brain—he ran for his life!
If not for that man, he'd be dead already.
I'm going to die! I'm going to die!
At that moment, a crisp ding sounded in his head.
[Ding! Host is under fatal threat. Survival instinct detected. System loading…]
[Crossing dimensional wall… Reading frequency rules… 98%, 99%, 100%! ]
[Reputation Entry System successfully bound!]
Zaki took a sharp breath—not from fear, but pure joy. There's always a way out!
Holy crap! It's real!
His eyes fixated on the light-blue screen hovering in front of him, like a drowning man clinging to a life raft.
As he darted between the panicking crowd, he skimmed through the system panel:
[— Reputation Entry System —]
[Host: Zaki]
[Reputation Points: 0]
[Solidified Entries: 1]
[Entry: None]
[Entry Slots: 0/5]
[The system condenses entries based on your actions to help you survive in this world!]
[Touching a character with an entry allows you to copy it, but only if you have an empty slot.]
[Entry Rarity Levels:]
N (Normal): White
R (Rare): Blue
SR (Super Rare): Purple
SSR (Superior Super Rare): Gold
UR (Ultra Rare): Red
(Each color also has Light, Normal, and Dark tiers.)
A flood of information filled Zaki's mind. The system's core function was copying entries from others, but the max slots were five.
Entries could also be deleted, merged, upgraded, or solidified—at the cost of reputation points.
And reputation points came from doing things that gained recognition in this world!
[Ding! Time-travel detected. Solidified entry acquired: (Dark Gold) – Traveler.]
Traveler: You are an anomaly. You do not belong to this world's timeline and cannot be predicted by fate, but your existence distorts destiny itself.
Holy crap! Dark Gold!
Zaki grinned with relief, but after reading its description, confusion replaced excitement. It sounded powerful but… wasn't directly useful!
"He's trying to run! Shoot him! Kill that untouchable!"
The black-suited guards raised their rifles and fired wherever Saint Bacchus pointed. They didn't even know who he meant—but orders were orders.
The deafening gunfire rang behind him. Zaki's face twisted. Damn it! How the hell do I survive this?!
