Chapter 1: Uncontrollable Radiation Source

Douluo Continent, the Star Dou Great Forest.

One of the three most famous soul beast habitats on Douluo Continent. Its vastness is almost equal to the land area of the Barak Kingdom, straddling the borders of the Heaven Dou Empire and the Star Luo Empire.

Two-fifths of its area lies within the Heaven Dou Empire, while the other three-fifths lies within the Star Luo Empire. It is a vast primeval forest with a complex terrain, including wetlands and swamps. The soul beasts there are also extremely formidable, and the closer to the center of the forest, the stronger the soul beasts.

Even hundred-thousand-year-old soul beasts can be found there. Any soul master with sufficient strength and luck can find the most suitable soul ring for their needs.

Uchiha Uran stood in the outermost bushes of the Star Dou Great Forest, gazing into the forest's interior. Behind the thickets rose a towering forest of increasingly strange shapes, and soul beasts symbolizing death were also among them.

It was strange why he stood there, but it was his own choice. Since the awakening of his martial spirit, his parents had suddenly and abruptly fallen ill. It wasn't a serious illness, just fatigue, nausea, dizziness, and insomnia.

But after once again awakening his spirit, he sensed something was amiss. Perhaps it was a sense of disharmony with this family that had lingered from the beginning.

His surname was Uchiha, which didn't matter, but the problem was, this was Douluo Continent!

As he grew older, he learned about his family's history. His ancestor was a powerful Eye Spirit, a Titled Douluo, possessing numerous original fire-based spirit abilities and numerous special secret techniques. However, due to time immemorial or perhaps long-hidden, they never reappeared.

While there was an ancestor, it was clear that no record of his origins existed, a fact that astonished Uchiha Uran. He was the second to travel through time, his ancestor being the first.

While the Sharingan's direct assimilation into his spirit was a bit absurd, the thought of the Divine Realm above Douluo Continent, and beyond, made the impact less pronounced. After all, no one could explain it. Since he was already here, he had to accept it.

At the age of six, he also underwent a separate spirit awakening ceremony within his family. The process went smoothly, and he successfully awakened his own spirit. Sadly, it wasn't a twin spirit, but he was surprised by one thing: the Sharingan spirit he awakened seemed different from the others in his family.

Uchiha Uran couldn't explain the specifics, but to others, the magatama within his eyeball didn't appear to be a magatama, but rather a miniature fan-shaped icon, with a rounded, protruding top and a sunken interior.

However, unlike the other clan members, his father was delighted, calling it a mutant spirit. He explained that the family hadn't had a mutant spirit in a long time, and that the two that had appeared were each extremely powerful and unique.

Today, he was fortunate to witness the birth of a new mutant spirit within the family, and to witness it being his own child. He was so delighted that he asked the family historian to record this historic moment.

But with the awakening of his spirit, a nightmare also began.

At some point, perhaps triggered by a low-grade fever in a maid or the unexplained coma of a servant, a strange change began to strike throughout the clan: members became increasingly vulnerable to illness.

Unpredictable changes began to unfold, with fevers and general fatigue rising in increasing numbers. The clan leader, Uchiha Yue, Uchiha Uran's father, stepped in. Whether it was a healing spirit master or external remedies like tonics, they could only delay or temporarily suppress the symptoms, not cure them.

Uchiha Yue was completely helpless against this condition, which wasn't caused by poison or spirit power. His Sharingan, no matter how precise, couldn't discern the specific changes occurring within the human body. The healing spirit master's diagnosis confirmed that the health of the servants with low spirit power was deteriorating.

It seemed they had reached a certain threshold. One night, the servants who had first fallen into a coma began vomiting violently, experiencing high fevers, bleeding, and varying degrees of anemia. Like torture, these servants with low spirit power were suffering unimaginable pain.

Meanwhile, Uchiha Uranium, looking in the mirror, opened his spirit Sharingan and observed the strange magatama in his pupil, a sense of foreboding forming in his heart.

A single fan-shaped icon, with a convex outer circle and a concave inner circle, wouldn't reveal much on its own. But if one considers the three magatama rotating in a triangular pattern within his pupil, it resembles fan blades, but more accurately, it resembles some kind of warning sign from a previous life on Earth. What exactly was this?

Thinking of the frail servants who had fallen unconscious, suffered general fatigue, vomiting, and a high fever, Uchiha Uran suddenly realized that these symptoms had only gradually appeared after he awakened his spirit and this strange pattern.

This pattern might be the culprit behind these negative factors, or perhaps his mutated spirit wasn't developing for the better, but rather worsening.

What was it?

What did these symptoms represent in his past life? Poison? Or cancer?

"Wait, cancer?" As if a thought had struck him, Uchiha Uran felt as if he had grasped the key point. Following this line of thought, he wondered if their bodies were experiencing some kind of internal irritation. Cancer does cause symptoms like profuse sweating, fatigue, and vomiting, which could be compared to the current situation.

So, what was the trigger?

Unconsciously, Uchiha Uran glanced at himself in the mirror again. His silver-white hair flowed naturally around his ears, his fair skin was tinged with a healthy glow, and his single-magatama Sharingan was moving. Everything seemed so natural, yet with a touch of strangeness.

The more he looked at his eyes, the more they resembled a certain icon.

Suddenly, a thought flashed through his mind: What if the whites of his eyes were yellow? Wouldn't that complement the black fan-shaped magatama?

A warning icon?

"I see."

The young man was silent for a moment. "It can't be wrong. If it's that thing, it certainly matches the panic in our family right now. Although no spirit masters with higher spirit power levels have fallen unconscious yet, I'm afraid the whole family has been infected over the past few days.

If this continues, I wouldn't be surprised if everyone dies one day." Uchiha Uranium raised his head and muttered to himself.

Slowly speaking, he stood up and began to pack his things. It couldn't be wrong. His eyes would bring pain and death to everyone around him, and now, he had to leave this home, and leave immediately.

His eyes brought back memories. He had seen this fan-shaped icon only a few times, but every time he saw it, he would immediately move away, fearing even the slightest contamination.

That was—nuclear radiation.
