The room was still. Too still.
Fini sat beside Calvin's hospital bed, her fingers gripping his hand as if it was the only anchor she had left. Machines beeped steadily, but his eyes hadn't opened in three days.
She looked down at her belly.
Her other hand slowly rested there.
Small. Barely noticeable. But very real.
She thought about the DNA result.
> "Ezra's…"
The name made her throat tighten.
Where was he?
Why did he disappear?
Before her thoughts could drift further, the door creaked open.
It was Arora.
Wearing white like an angel—but Fini could see the smirk under her polite facade.
"Oh, how tragic," she whispered, walking to Calvin's side. "He might never remember anything again."
Fini stiffened. "What are you talking about?"
Arora turned to her with faux pity. "Didn't they tell you? The doctor suspects amnesia. Poor thing might not remember this whole... mess."
Fini's breath caught.
No. Not again. Not this.
> "He needs me," she whispered.
Arora's lips curved. "Does he? Even if he doesn't remember your marriage... or your child?"
The way she said "child" sent chills down Fini's spine.
"What do you mean?"
Arora stepped closer.
"I know the baby isn't his."
Fini's heart nearly stopped.
> "You went through my things?!"
"Oh honey," Arora purred. "You should know by now. I don't play fair."
Fini rose from her seat, her face pale.
"If you hurt Calvin with this—"
"I won't have to," Arora said sweetly. "Because I'll give him the one thing he does remember."
She bent forward… and kissed Calvin on the forehead.
Fini lunged forward, pushing her back. "Don't touch him!"
But Arora only laughed. "Too late, Fini. I already did."

Far away, in a modest town outside the city, Ezra's mother sat in a quiet kitchen. In her hands — a photo of Fini holding Ezra's hand during his hospital stay.
Then, a man stepped in.
Wearing sunglasses.
Bandages wrapped around one arm.
He placed a newspaper on the table — the headline read:
> "Heiress Fini Aulianna Pregnant? Calvin Sahputra in Coma After Accident!"
Ezra clenched his jaw.
> "She's still in danger, isn't she?"
His mother looked at him.
> "You need to go back, Ezra. Now."
