Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: The Divorce She Demands

The rain poured as Fini stepped out of the car in front of the Sahputra mansion.

Ezra held an umbrella over her head, but she didn't flinch when the water hit her heels, her dress soaked.

Her eyes were fixed on the grand doors.

"Are you ready for this?" Ezra asked.

Fini nodded. "I don't want to be his wife anymore."

---

Inside, Calvin stared at the fireplace. His mind spinning.

Memories returned in broken pieces.

Fini's laughter echoing in the hallway.

The scent of her jasmine shampoo.

Their wedding night.

But also... the argument. The heartbreak. The way she looked at Ezra like she used to look at him.

> "She wants to leave me," he whispered.

"And I... I think I deserve it."

Then Arora burst in, her expression twisted in panic.

"Calvin!" she screamed. "The media— they're saying I faked the pregnancy!"

He stood up slowly, his gaze like ice.

"Did you?"

Silence.

Her fake baby bump wasn't strapped tightly enough. A flash of fabric slipped.

"Get. Out."

---

Downstairs, the door opened with a thunderous crack.

Fini stepped in.

Drenched. Beautiful. Unshakable.

Calvin walked into the foyer, stunned.

"Fini—"

"I'm not here for apologies," she said coldly. "I'm here to end it."

She took a folded paper from her clutch and threw it at him.

> "Divorce me, Calvin. I don't want to be part of this madness anymore."

Ezra stood behind her, silent but strong.

Calvin stared at the papers.

"You're pregnant. With his child?"

Fini didn't answer.

Her silence burned deeper than any confession.

---

Later that night, Calvin sat alone in the study. The divorce papers open. Untouched.

Flashbacks tore through him:

Her teary eyes during their vows.

The way she held his hand when no one was watching.

The smile she tried to hide after their first kiss.

> "I pushed her into Ezra's arms... and now I've lost her."

---

Meanwhile, in her hotel room, Fini touched her belly.

Was the baby Calvin's? Or Ezra's?

She didn't know. But what she did know was this:

> "I'm not going to let any man decide my worth ever again."

---

The next morning, the media exploded.

"Heiress Fini Aulianna Exposes Fake Pregnancy Scandal!"

"Calvin Sahputra's Wife Demands Divorce — Mystery Baby in Question!"

Fini's father called her, furious.

But Fini only answered calmly.

> "I'm not your puppet either, father. This is my life now."

---

At the mansion, Calvin finally signed the papers.

But instead of sending them, he held them tight and whispered—

> "Not yet."

Because for the first time…

He didn't just want her.

He needed her.
