Chapter 38 - Storm and Serpent

The warehouse was littered with broken wood, shattered glass, and the echoes of pain. Mikey's arm throbbed from Kang's previous assault, and Jin's vision flickered at the edges from overusing his Copy ability.

But they weren't done.

Mikey Strikes First

Mikey shook off the pain, focusing on his uncle's lessons. He weaved into a Dempsey Phantom sequence, a storm of punches he hadn't been able to land before.

Each strike flowed seamlessly, speed and precision perfectly in sync.

Kang tried to counter, but Mikey's phantom strikes blurred too fast, slipping through even the Black Serpent's defenses.

Mikey's confidence grew with each hit. Pain became fuel. His boxing, once simple and defensive, became a weapon of overwhelming force.

Jin Joins the Fray

Jin's smirk returned, but this time his cockiness was matched by deadly calculation. He pushed his Heavenly Triple Kick further, anticipating Kang's clinches and reading his movements with Copy ability.

First kick smashed into Kang's ribs, staggering him.

Second kick clipped his shoulder, making him flinch.

Third kick landed clean to the jaw, snapping Kang back several steps.

But Jin's vision flared red—temporary blindness from overuse of Copy—but he gritted his teeth, focusing on Mikey's movement to coordinate their attacks.

The Perfect Combination

Mikey and Jin locked eyes. Without a word, they executed a coordinated assault:

Mikey weaved in with a Phantom Jab storm, breaking Kang's guard.

Jin followed immediately with a spinning triple kick, forcing Kang to stagger backward.

The warehouse shook as their combined techniques pushed Kang to the edge, a rare moment where the predator became prey.

Kang Stumbles

Kang's face twisted in shock and frustration. He had underestimated the synergy of Mikey's boxing and Jin's taekwondo.

"You… are stronger than I thought," Kang growled, wiping blood from his lip.

But he wasn't beaten yet. His eyes darkened, calculating, planning his next move.

Cliffhanger

Mikey and Jin stood, bruised but alive, finally seeing a glimpse of Kang's vulnerability.

Kang's whisper echoed through the warehouse:"This… isn't over. The storm has just begun."
