Chapter 16 - Chapter 16: Wild sheep(3)

The horned sheep on the ground turned its head toward Srini. Its face was full of rage. Slowly it pushed itself up and stood, staring right at Srini.

"No..look, I know you understand me. You hit me first, so I hit you. Simple ok it's even," Srini said, trying to calm it.

The sheep scraped its hoof on the ground and shook its head. Srini kept talking, his voice trembling. "See? Hit for a hit, blood for blood. If you let us go, I promise we will never come near you again."

The sheep charged at Srini with full force.

Srini moved to the right just in time, but the horn cut his left hand. Pain shot through him and blood started to flow.

"Ahhh… now you happy? You're beautiful and the handsome person… no, the handsomest sheep in the world," Srini said, trying to make the sheep stop.

The sheep charged again. This time Srini could not dodge. The horn slammed into his left thigh.

"Ahhhh… I said stop! Why are you still hitting? I'm sorry!" Srini screamed.

He fell to the ground. The pain in his left leg was too much. He forced himself up and kneeled on his right leg. When he looked up, the sheep had already running towards him and hit his head.

Before going into blackout. He started shouting without meaning to. "Why…why are we always the ones being beaten up? I can't take any more!" he cried, blood mixing with his tears.

The horned sheep watched him and showed a evil smile at the corner of its mouth.

When Manu opened his eyes and looked at Srini and the rod stuck in the sheep. For a moment, Manu had hoped the they can win the fight. But when Srini lifted the rod, there was only a tiny smear of red on the tip. Manu felt that hope break.

'At first I thought the sheep attacked because we came into its land. But it wasn't that. It was playing with us. It wanted to enjoy our pain. It wanted to kill us slowly. It was enjoying beating us. It was using us like a toy, at every time srini twisted the rod it was giving us a hope that we can finally escape but it was not true it was actually playing with so that it can crush our hope with our death', Manu taught.

Manu forced himself to stand. He walked to the fallen rod and gripped it hard.

"I will not let you continue this anymore. I will send you to death. I will make you feel real pain. I will make you regret this", Manu taught to himself with the anger

He took a deep breath with full of anger, and ran toward the horned sheep.
