"Tche! If am I not here. Where do you want me to be?" Liam mockingly retorted as he looked at Andrew who felt like a joke now that he was seeing him like that.
Andrew gritted his teeth as he looked at Liam, whom he wasn't expecting to see in the office. When he thought about what he had just said earlier and then recalled how the boss was acting when he asked about Liam. Andrew's back was drenched in cold sweat.
'I am done!'
Liam rolled his eyes at Andrew before looking away. He didn't want to be bothered by this man at all.
Harrison, at the same time, didn't know what to say upon seeing all that. He felt very embarrassed that a manager couldn't even recognize his artist. If he couldn't do so, then he couldn't help but wonder just how long had it been since the two of them actually saw each other.
Suddenly, he looked at Queen, who was smiling slyly at him, and he shuddered at the thought of what the other party wanted to do.
Before he could say a single word, she beat him to it.
"I have seen his attitude towards my client, but I won't let it bother me. So, can we go straight to it right now, or should we take it to court?"
'That heartless woman!' Harrison cussed inwardly as he plastered a flattering smile on his face, sweat dripping from his forehead.
Going to court and playing against Queen? Huh, he would be insane to try something like that.
"Ms. Rivers, hehe, how about we just deal with the matter internally?" he flatteringly suggested and without waiting for her response, he glared at Andrew who had his tail tucked between his legs and ordered coldly, "You go and bring me Liam's contract. You have heard the lady. We are terminating!" his tone filled with no room for any further discussion.
Andrew clenched his fists when he heard that and looked at Liam with a glare, but the sneer from Queen made him lower his head with shame before he excused himself and hurried out.
As he made his way to the office, Andrew's uncouth mouth was filled with curses. After cursing Liam's several generations, he started wondering earnestly just how Liam got acquainted with lawyer Rivers. If he was so powerful, why didn't he show it before?
The more he thought about it, the angrier he became. Unfortunately, asking Liam was out of the question for now. He could only wait after a while. Besides, he didn't dare keep those two waiting.
"Andrew, why did the CEO call you?"
Andrew nearly rolled his eyes angrily at the nosy person who asked but still maintained his face as he answered, "Nothing in particular," and didn't bother to share any details.
He found the contract he wanted and left the office without giving anyone a chance to ask him anything again.
Seeing him leaving abruptly like that, the others felt envious. They couldn't help but speak sourly behind his back.
"Umph! Why is he trying to play all mysterious?"
"Perhaps he had done such good work, and the CEO is commending him!"
"What good work? How many artists does he have? Besides, don't any of us know the kind of manager he is?"
Andrew was completely unaware of what his colleagues were talking about. He rushed back to the CEO's office where he found the three talking cheerfully, as if there wasn't going to be any termination of the contract.
Queen took the contract from Andrew and as she read through the whole thing, she couldn't help but glare at Harrison cursing his several generations at once.
Although she had read the contract before reading it again, she was relieved that she had it terminated. She didn't bother to lecture Harrison but initiated the termination process.
Thirty minutes later, the contract was terminated successfully without any damage paid.
Andrew felt bitter when he saw that. Usually when these powerful CEO caves in like that. It only meant one thing: whoever was sent by the lawyer was damn powerful and the CEO couldn't be bothered to offend the other party.
Liam was relieved when he saw the shackles that had been restraining him finally broken. From now on, he was a free man and wouldn't need to lick Andrew to get a job. He didn't have to swallow the bitterness whenever Sean came after him.
He was going to be his own man and with Sonia by his side. He had a feeling that things would be better even if they were going to be together for a few months. It was going to be worth it.
While he was revering in his joy of leaving the agency, Queen and Harrison were making friends.
"Hehe, although this has happened. We are all friends. In the future, when you come across Liam, remember that we are all friends!" Queen smilingly said, and Harrison could only smile as he accepted that.
Who made the other party stronger than him?
"Haha, don't worry. We are all one family. What can go wrong?" he said, playing along but didn't forget to glare at Andrew, who shuddered at the unspoken warning.
After playing for a while, Queen finally bid her farewell and took Liam with her after refusing Harrison to send them off.
After seeing the two leave, Harrison picked up the ashtray and threw it angrily at Andrew.
Bang!
Andrew got hit and hissed as he felt his forehead panging with pain while the ashtray fell to the carpeted floor. Thankfully, it didn't break.
"Useless! What the heck have you been doing?" Harrison angrily yelled at Andrew, venting the humiliation he suffered as he was suppressed by Queen earlier.
Did Andrew understand how embarrassing it was for him to feel so small in front of a woman? A freaking nobody without a powerful background, and yet he had to lower his head. How could this bastard make him go through such?
Andrew could only endure the scolding but inwardly vowed to make Liam pay. It wasn't like the person who was supporting him could always keep an eye on him. He was going to make him pay one way or the other.
After Harrison scolded Andrew to his heart's content, he shooed the other party away, not wanting to see him again.
After Andrew left, he picked up his phone and made a call right away. After a few rings, the other party picked up, [What is it? Why are you calling so early?] The other party didn't sound very pleased, and Harrison was further infuriated.
"You ….. don't you see what time it is?"
[Heh! What does that have with me? Just say what you want. Damn! I slept late. I need to catch up with my sleep.]
Without the other party elaborating further, Harrison already knew what the other was up to. He could only take a deep breath, trying to calm down lest he rain curses on the other.
