Chapter 5 - Cinderpoint

There were two simple platforms back-to-back, and Kairo looked at the map, which was large, spiralling. He was at Cinderpoint Station, then put his finger on the map as he dragged his finger across. He didn't know if he was going westbound or eastbound; his finger first crossed east of the map: Silvervein Station, Sunspire Arcade, Eyrie Heights, and Crownspire Junction.

"So... Where's the base: Silvervein Station, Sunspire Arcade, Eyrie Heights, Crownspire Junction?" Kairo then looked at a passing train going Eastbound, "We missed our train?" The train jetted off from platform 2 into the tunnel before Lucan finally spoke up, "Ashfell." Kairo's hand then wafted Westbound, passing through Cinderpoint Station, Glasswater Terminal, Hollow Spire, Ashfell Crossing, Ironroot Junction, Pierveil Gate, Driftspire Yard, and Gravemire Stop. "So, 3 stops?" The question was rhetorical as the train on platform 1 eased into the station.

Both Lucan and Kairo stepped onto the train, which was mostly empty. Some businessmen were asleep on the train; it felt so weird, heroes of Altitude Bay having to take a train from location to location. Why did Aria get a helicopter but Kairo a dusty train with graffiti all around? The train doors slammed shut as Kairo sat down across from Lucan. His recruiter was daydreaming, looking at the window behind Kairo, "So what's with you and the Jaguar?"

Lucan finally snapped back to reality as Kairo finished his question, "I mean, she's nearly 2 feet shorter-" There was something in Lucan's face that told Kairo not to push it. His face looked annoyed and angered before it instantly changed back to the jovial look, "Okay… So, the ABPU right, where do you stand?" Lucan smirked before seeing an opportunity to brag, "Well… 2-time All ABPU of course and 1-time All Elite ABPU." Kairo's eyes widen, "So you're like the top of the ABPU? So, you must have been there for over 5 years?"

Lucan shook his head, "I'm just starting my third year."
