The young man eager to kill Celie was none other than her son, Chicago.
Chicago carried a small dagger blade in both hands, and his spiritual aura was glowing yellow similar to Willie Lou's.
Chicago and Willie Lou apparently used their spiritual prowess to fight against demons, and that was the true intentions of Willie Lou gathering all the bibles from their family.
Willie Lou planned to use the bibles for a special ritual, likely something that would boost her spiritual prowess to assist with the goal of transcendence.
Chicago's blade came slashing for Celie's throat, leaving Terrance and Celie so astonished that they couldn't move for a second.
Willie Lou and Chicago were both teenagers, only seperated by about three or four years, but both were capable of killing.
Should I fight Celie's son? They've already discovered that I'm an imposter and won't hesitate to kill me. If I don't act now...this kid will chop my head off!
Willie Lou was the next to make a move while Terrance and Celie were momentarily frozen, but everything would be shattered off course when someone clapped their hands.
Willie Lou and Chicago were both in full stride, just inches away from their targets when Terrance clapped his hands.
The illumination of the bright church dimmed into darkness, sending more chills of unknown down Celie's spine. Terrance yanked her by the wrist after shutting off the lights, bringing her along as begun to run down the aisle.
Are we running away? But we need the bibles! Should I activate my True Domain?
"Don't do anything!" Terrance shouted, taking initiative of the battle. "We won't fight them! It's not their fault that we are imposters!"
"So what are we gonna do?" Phuture questioned. "They'll kill us!"
Willie Lou used her spiritual prowess to swap their location, transporting them outside the church to a nearby swamp.
"Great, another swamp..." Phuture sighed in disbelief, she continued. "We're gonna die again!"
"I don't think so." Terrance replied. "Remember that we are Divine Gods, even when our spirits are broken. Willie Lou and Chicago have the potential to truly be threats one day...but not right now."
An unexpected burst of flames came surging towards them, but they'd both negate the flames with their energy instinctively.
Black flames came from Terrance's hands, while Celie's flames came from her hands with a turquoise blue color. The black and turquoise flames conjoined together to easily overpower the incoming attack.
The conjoined fire style technique ripped its way through the woods, injuring Willie Lou as she tried to avoid the blast.
Chicago's yellow aura expanded as anger consumed him, pushing him beyond his peak of spiritual prowess so far. The child was grieving heavily and bitterness expanded in his energy like a wildfire.
Anger was always a recipe for danger, power under emotions likely would get people killed. Actions under emotions usually cancelled out rational thinking, leading to faulty decision making under distress.
Chicago's movement was like a flash of lightning, a yellow brightness came dazzling towards Celine.
Realistically, we likely aren't able to win this fight against Willie Lou and Chicago! They're young with bright souls, and our souls are currently damaged!
Phuture's lack of confidence reflected on her perfomance, and Terrance showed it was noticeable with his facial expression.
"Enough!" Terrance shouted, his deepened tone echoed throughout the woods.
Chicago's swift movements came to an abrupt halt, paused by a spiritual technique activated by Terrance.
"Willie Lou." Terrance spoke out to the injured young lady hiding in the woods. "Why aren't you going all out?"
Willie Lou's movements accelerated much quicker than Chicago's, in an instant she swooped him up from where he was paused.
Willie Lou's speed is intense!
"I think it's because you know that we mean no harm!" Terrance shouted. "We can stop fighting! Let's just work together!"
Willie Lou held her nephew in with a single arm while hiding behind trees, crunched down in the darkness to evade from being seen. She knew they could feel her spiritual pressure, also Chicago's glowing essence was still dying down.
"You okay?" Willie Lou asked Chicago, she shoved his shoulder and noticed he was sound asleep. "Chicago, wake up!"
Chicago was no longer in the state of consciousness, placed under a temporary slumber by Terrance to explore the mind.
Chicago wasn't sure if he were inside someone's realm, awake in the real world, or if he was just dreaming the image in front of him.
A single man ahead of him balanced well with the shadows.
The black silhouette removed his cap, he said. "Chicago, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Dark, and I'm the spirit living inside your uncle's vessel."
Chicago couldn't reply before falling as if the ground beneath him caved in, descending into a darkness of shadows that reached out towards him with black arms.
"I am a Lord of Divinity." Dark's voice echoed throughout the black world of shadows, and Chicago became fully convinced that it was all a dream. "The brain of human beings are delicated, there's so many secrets hidden deep within each of our minds. For example, the space above your Planet Earth or the unknown of the oceans. And...there's the limitless symbolism of energy within the spiritual world."
Chicago's location changed again but this time he was somewhere memorable. A location where he witnessed countless of lives being lost.
Charleston Harbor, South Carolina.
The beginning of Civil War had broken out and The Confederacy were on the verge of invading Fort Sumter.
The Union soldiers were overwhelmed by numbers and low on supplies against The Confederacy, but The Demon Corps attempted to arrive for their aid to prevent the invasion.
Terrance, his daughter Taylor, their family friend Ray, Willie Lou, and Chicago arrived on duty for The Demon Corps. The group of four spiritual energy users arrived instantly with supplies using their teleportation technique.
Chicago distinctly remembered the mission was just a supply run, so they allowed Taylor to accompany them for her first.
The Demon Corps arrived to something unanticipated, unbearably consumed by the spiritual pressure of someone on the enemy's side.
A single demon controlled the force that invased Fort Sumter, revealing himself to The Demon Crops from the dirt ground as if arriving from Hell.
Terrance called for an immediate retreat and volunteered to fight off the demon, but Willie Lou refused to leave him behind to die against a powerful demon.
Ray, a man entrusted to ally with their family by Terrance's father, rushed to grab everyone for an immediate evacuation. He grabbed Taylor, being the youngest of the group, he assured that she was the first to safety.
Instead, everyone felt a sudden exposure of extreme heat just before blood splattered. An eerie sound of fist smashing against brains stained everyone's ears.
Chicago was the first to be stained and ruin by the sight, shaken with anxieties to see Ray and Taylor's headless bodies being smashed to pieces. He caught perfect sighting of the demon's blood stained face, meeting eye to eye with the Confederate demon.
Chicago's memory replayed over and over, until he screamed with torturousshrieks for the nightmares to end.
