Willie Lou and Chicago proved to be powerful for their age, powerful enough for Dark to forego a plan to ally with them instead of being enemies.
The vision finally stopped after Chicago's breakdown, he screamed out until he was grabbed by the shadows that consumed him.
The shadows silenced his screams by putting him to ease, putting him in a state where he was barely conscious.
"How?" Chicago questioned. "How do you know?"
"I still have Terrance's memories." Dark answered, appearing from the shadows to Chicago's left side. "I know everything."
"Then you know why we've collected the bibles...we need the power to defeat the Charleston Demon!
"That power will consume you...channeling spiritual energy from those bibles will lead to your downfall." Dark began walking ahead, he unwrapped Chicago from the spiritual energy since he was calm. "You'll lose yourself...and become the demon you seek to destroy."
"But Willie Lou has already begun the ritual...she's gonna lose herself!"
"Willie Lou is stronger than you...she currently sustains more spiritual energy capacity so she'd probably handle it. If she was to lose herself…then I'd have no choice but to put her down. Hopefully…things won't come to that. I would like you and Willie Lou to join us."
Chicago struggled with an answer, visualizing a world where someone else lived as his mother and uncle. The man standing before him was a Divine God and his strength wouldn't be exceptional to learn from, but he wasn't sure if that would be the best decision.
Chicago asked. "What are your intentions?"
"I need to rebuild my spiritual prowess…so I can go back to the world I come from. Therefore, I'll be assisting The American's in defeating their traitors. That way…we can hunt down and kill this demon who killed your cousin and family friend."
Chicago's eyes widened, he asked. "Really?"
"We can do it together! Just join me! Convince Willie Lou to stand down! She's strong…and I'll actually have to use more energy than I should be using right now to defeat her. But if we worked together…nothing could stop our power and minds combined."
Chicago nodded in acceptance of defeat, and ignored all concerns against joining The Divine Gods.
Dark wanted to help kill the demon they'd been searching for, and that was enough to buy Chicago's trust to join him.
"Deal!" Chicago called out. "I'll convince Willie Lou to stand down, but only if you truly help is find that demon! I need him dead!"
Dark cracked a slight smile. "Deal."
Willie Lou was still shaking her nephew to wake up, slapping him in the face and shoving his body for a few minutes until he returned from his slumber.
Chicago wrapped his arms around her soon as he awakened, hugging her tightly after suffering from the repeated nightmare over and over.
The family members hugged each other for awhile, soaking in the moment of love while Chicago cried into her shoulder.
Terrance and Celie approached them steadily, holding out their hands to signify they weren't there for a fight.
"What the hell did you do?" Willie Lou questioned, rubbing Chicago's back as he sobbed. "Answer me!"
Chicago grabbed Willie Lou by the arm before she could stand to confront Terrance and Celie, pulling her back down to her buttocks before another fight began.
Chicago said. "They can help us…let's stop fighting them…it's rare when we meet other spiritual energy users. Maybe we should all work together and cast our differences aside!"
Willie Lou frowned at her nephew and nearly shoved him aside, but she could see the sincerity in his eyes that gave her second thoughts. Both of her siblings were killed by Confederates and transmigrated by two seperate souls. She had no idea who those two souls were, and no idea if she could build chemistry to work with them.
"I'll ask again…" Willie Lou said, anger beginning to flow through her spirit and rise her aura. "What did you do to him?"
Terrance answered. "I put him to sleep, spoke with him during his dreams while he saw his worse nightmare over and over."
"What the fuck?" Willie Lou nearly attacked Terrance and Celie again, but Chicago jumped between them to interfere. "Get out the way!"
"He wants to join us…because I can help you locate the Confederate Demon that you've been searching for over the past year."
Willie Lou's mouth dropped, she questioned confusingly. "What?"
Phuture looked at him sideways, containing no memories of such thing happening. Terrance said. "I know it all…and I know you're becoming stronger just to kill a certain powerful demon. We can work together to hunt down that demon, allow us to fight alongside you in The Demon Corps. Please, we could really use each other's assistance Willie Lou."
Willie Lou grunted frustratingly and cursed to herself, rolling her eyes before shoving Chicago aside to walk away.
Phuture had no idea what happened between Chicago and Terrance, but Terrance was somehow able to convince them to joining despite Willie Lou's persistence of killing them.
"She just needs a minute." Terrance smiled. "The Demon Corps is back! Celie, I'll refurbish your memories about The Demon Corps. I understand if you're confused with everything taking place all at once."
Willie Lou coped with a frustrating situation by marching around in a circle, but she approached Terrance and Celie with an easier energy than before. She was no longer angry enough to fight them, especially since there was no longer any resistance of her having the bibles.
"You chose to peace treaty with us instead of defeating us..." Willie Lou expressed doubts in Phuture and Dark, she questioned. "How should I trust you can lead us to the demon?"
Phuture and Terrance met eyes for a moment after a quick glance, but Phuture decided to take control this time since Terrance was the one who convinced Chicago.
Phuture inhaled deeply and closed her eyes, concentrating her spiritual energy to activating The Realm by the time she exhaled.
Willie Lou and Chicago were unable to react before their locations suddenly changed to another realm.
The Realm consisted of Phuture and Dark's purple, turquoise, orange and black spiritual energy. The red stars above blended beautifully with the purple colored skies, and the round table from before was summoned to be seated.
"Please." Phuture said. "You may sit."
Phuture and Dark were within their true vessels, and Willie Lou was wearing the same exact outfit she worn while introducing herself as America.
"You…" Willie Lou took a few steps back instead of seating at their round table. "You…you're the Divine Gods?"
"Yes, I am Goddess Phuture and he is Lord Dark." Phuture reintroduced themselves to a puzzled Willie Lou. "Welcome to The Realm again, Ms. America."
