The two of them left the room again. Fred woke up George, who was in a deep sleep after drinking a sleeping draught.
George stood up, looking dazed, and followed behind them, as if his brain hadn't finished rebooting.
Kyle led the two of them through a corridor. After passing through a door at the end of the corridor, the three of them arrived in a spacious area, three hundred meters long and one hundred meters wide.
Huge pillars supported the ceiling above, ensuring it wouldn't collapse.
On the empty ground to their left, targets were set up from far to near.
And on the wall to their right, an entire wall was hung with all sorts of Muggle equipment.
George and Fred didn't know what they were for, but Kyle certainly did.
These were gifts from the hospitable American gangs he'd dealt with back when he was the Dark Knight in New York.
Kyle took down two M16 Rifles from the wall. "I got these in America. They're from Texas. You know, Texas is good for more than just tacos."
George and Fred's faces remained blank. They clearly didn't appreciate his humor.
Never mind. Talking about this with them was like casting pearls before swine.
The wooden crate stacked against the wall was pried open, revealing neatly stacked rows of gleaming, golden bullets.
After loading the magazines, Kyle slapped one into his rifle, then flipped off the safety.
"I call this one the Sky Destroyer and this one the Earth Destroyer. Together, they can destroy the sky and the earth."
As he finished speaking, Kyle raised a rifle in each hand and squeezed the triggers at a human-shaped target in front of him.
The long barrel spat out flames, accompanied by a deafening gunshot, and the target ten meters in front of Kyle was instantly torn to shreds.
Uh, don't ask him why he was only shooting at a target ten meters away.
He wasn't saying.
The brothers' expressions instantly changed from cold to eager.
"Be careful not to point the gun at anyone," Kyle warned, handing them two rifles.
The brothers nodded vigorously.
Looking at the tragic state of the target, they were very clear that if this thing hit someone, they wouldn't even need to go to Madam Pomfrey in the hospital wing.
They would just be lying on a slab, the Weasley family would be wailing, and then the whole village of Ottery St. Catchpole would be having a meal together.
After correcting their stances and repeatedly reminding them to hold their weapons steady, Kyle still felt uneasy.
He switched the M16s they were holding from three-round burst to single-shot mode.
Next, amidst the fragrance of rice, the shooting range erupted with gunfire.
"George! This thing is much better than a wand!"
Fred's shoulder ached from the recoil, but his excitement remained undiminished.
George turned and replied enthusiastically.
However, as he turned, he saw Kyle holding a Barrett M82A1 sniper rifle, about 1.4 meters long.
Seeing the sniper rifle, complete with muzzle brake, bipod, and scope, George and Fred immediately felt that their bare-bones M16s with only iron sights were no longer appealing.
George and Fred stared longingly at the sniper rifle in Kyle's hands, their eyes practically screaming: Kyle, let me play with that!
Kyle didn't feel the least bit awkward under their gazes.
Come on, this gun was something he'd worked his tail off for, spending a fortune...
Well, maybe not a fortune exactly, but he had "earned" it with his own two hands.
In short, he'd spent a lot of money, through some less-than-reputable channels, to get his hands on this big sniper rifle from the weapons shop owner, a rifle that had only recently been issued to the military.
This thing wasn't something you could just lend out willy-nilly.
Ten minutes later, George stood beside Fred, urging him impatiently, "Fred! My turn, my turn! You've already shot two magazines!"
After George's repeated prodding, Fred reluctantly moved his face away from the ten-times-magnified scope, then relinquished the shooting position to George.
While the two were having a blast with the gun, Kyle sat on the floor nearby, flipping through a thin notebook.
The occasional gunfire nearby seemed to have no effect on him whatsoever.
This notebook was exchanged between George and Fred in order to get their hands on a Barrett sniper rifle.
It contained information on how to cast the Disillusionment Charm.
The Disillusionment Charm is a spell used to disguise a target.
This spell allows the disguised person or object to become like a chameleon, with its color and texture matching the environment behind and around it.
Kyle was extremely interested in this magic.
If he mastered this magic, he could do some things that shouldn't be seen, like peeking into the girls' bathroom...
Ugh, no!
For the creation of "Intimate Hogwarts" material…
Ugh, this isn't it either!
Learning this spell would be incredibly convenient for things like nighttime excursions in Hogwarts Castle.
After glancing through the notes, Kyle put them away.
He hadn't even mastered the basic spells yet. George and Fred, who had been at Hogwarts for over a year, hadn't even mastered this difficult spell. He wouldn't be able to learn it anytime soon.
"Hey, you two, it's getting late," Kyle said, glancing at the clock on the wall. The hands were past ten o'clock at night. "We should head out."
The other two checked the time and reluctantly put down their firearms.
As they were leaving the shooting range, Fred sighed, "Dad should really come and see this place."
"Wait!" Kyle called out, then started searching the bookshelves in the living room.
In a moment, he took two or three military magazines about tanks from the bookshelf and handed them to the two of them.
"These introduce the construction of tanks. Perhaps they can help your father when he modifies the tanks."
Kyle rubbed his hands together expectantly, wondering if Mr. Weasley could transform a tank into a star destroyer.
If he could, then a magical version of a fighter jet, a magical version of a battleship, or even a magical version of an aircraft carrier…
Imagine a giant flying aircraft carrier with dozens of ferocious fire dragons on it, and the extended space hangar storing dozens or even hundreds of magical versions of fighter jets and bombers.
Because of the existence of magic, the endurance, firepower, maneuverability, and speed of the fighter jets and bombers could be greatly enhanced.
With this thing, it wouldn't be impossible to destroy a country with one ship.
Just thinking about it was exciting.
...
At night, Kyle lay on the soft bed, his mind racing.
So much had happened today.
First, he was found by Dumbledore, and then he was told he was a wizard.
He had originally thought he was the only person with special abilities in this world, but it turned out he was wrong.
There were thousands of others like him in this world.
He hadn't encountered them before because the wizards were all hiding.
However, Kyle felt that since he could experience something as absurd as time travel, it wasn't so surprising to be transported to the world of Harry Potter.
Kyle rolled over and drifted off to sleep.
