He took the star and came out of the river.
The Immortal lords struggling with the divine beast to save the river all paused at his immaculate presence.
''It's…''
''It's…the Lonely God!''
The leaders of the third immortal realm all backed down and stepped back.
He gazed down at the lowly immortals gathered at the banks of the swamp river, his little broken star secured in his hold as he wondered why they were here.
''Your Master is the Lonely God?!'' One of the female immortal lords turned to the divine phoenix in disbelief.
Yaoqin's gaze only hardened at them as he went to stand beside his Master the moment his feet touched the ground.
''Baiye,'' He raised an eyebrow as the leader of the group dared to call him by name. ''How dare you cause distress in the third immortal realm and even threaten to destroy our source of livelihood just for a dead, worthless star?!''
His words deeply unnerved him.
Why can't he do as he pleases as a God?
Where are the places restricted for him to go as a supreme being?
Why should the existence of a low–level river matter more than the life of his girl?
''You not only tread on our land without permission, but a few reported you harrassed and cursed immortals here without reason. You threatened to drain this river and keep all its power for yourself and your cultivation! What do you have to say for yourself?!''
That is why they always meet their end too soon.
They always expect him to feel remorseful for his actions.
If he has to explain his thoughts and acts to these lowly immortals time and time again, then what is the essence of being an unquestionable God of the Celestial Space.
''Alright,'' he said slowly as his magic forced them all to fall on their knees. ''I will tell you all what I have to say for myself.''
The immortal lords all groaned and struggled to resist the magic that forced them to their knees.
They hated it.
He loved it.
The immortals of the third immortal realm are the most rebellious when it comes to being submissive before Gods. They were even more stubborn than self-righteous mortals.
A small smirk formed on his perfectly shaped lips.
''Chaining down and exploiting a beast disguised as a swamp river for cultivation might not do you much good, should I bring this matter before the Gods of the God Realm,'' he threatened, seeing the slight trace of fear that overtook their faces.
''Not to mention the beast dared to endanger the Supreme God of the God realm…'' He continued, raising the star high so they could all see. This surprised the immortal lords a lot as they could never imagine the presence of the Queen of the God realm herself in their midst.
''The Supreme God of the…''
''Impossible!'' The leader of the group said, snapping them out of their reverie. ''The Supreme God of the God realm can't be this broken, useless purple star he is trying to deceive us with.''
Once again with the insults. He tilted his head a bit to the side at the bold immortal lord.
''I know who the supreme god of the god realm is. I have seen her. She definitely can't be this weak and broken star!''
He couldn't blame them. He was still yet to understand how his love got this injured enough to die after being forced into her original being. A lone, purple star who took the form of a Purple immortal once in the immortal realm and cultivated enough to be a God.
''You liar! How dare you try to deceive us? Don't you know belittling the supreme god like this can be considered a blasphemy?''
One thing he always noticed when dealing with brainless immortals was how they strove to turn the tables—-especially when accused of wrongdoing.
He took one step closer and they struggled to break free and be far from him.
Who doesn't fear the Lonely crazy God of the Red Central Tower?
Much more brutal than the Moon God of the Demon Realm.
''Blasphemy?''
They all nodded their heads.
''Can you spell it?''
The immortal lord acknowledged how ridiculous that was. He blinked. ''What?''
''The word you all just carelessly accused me of. I want you to spell it.''
The immortal stared at the pale face of the Lonely God for a long time and wondered what games the God was trying to play with him.
The immortal lord laughed, unable to comprehend how ridiculous the Lonely God was.
''What? I should spell blasphemy? Do I need to when I would end up spelling out your sinful name instead?''
Sometimes, it's just too hard for them to believe that he could be forgiving as well.
''Wrong.''
The immortal lords screamed as their leader exploded right before their eyes. His blood splattered all around them. He didn't blink when a few drops stained his face.
Yaoqin watched in the background in horror as the arrogant leader was reduced to a grotesque paste of blood and smashed bones, which made a lot of the other immortal lords turn and throw up their guts. He stared at each of their reactions without a hint of remorse or expression on his face.
Their cries and screams sounded muffled as he crushed the immortal lord without even taking a step.
''Gods are not to be spoken down to,'' he began in the midst of their mental breakdown. ''Especially the ones who do the extra mile to ensure you all wake up and be provided for the next day.''
Sooner his magic on them was lifted as they pulled each other up and left as quickly as they could. Yaqoin gulped as he tried to keep it together.
His cold and beautiful Master turned and used his magic to slowly build up the purple's star physical form back.
