Sitting at the front of her mirror Asherah stares at herself in the mirror.
"You're just too much Sarai. Thanks". Ash says looking up at Sarai.
Sarai giggles "No need to thank me, you deserve all the happiness in the world".
Asherah frowns "But there's one more thing. Brother Aiden saw me not long ago. I don't want him to recognize me and know I'm the one he saw". She says.
"Do you mind putting on a veil then?" Sarai asks.
"That would be so much better. I want only my eyes to be visible". Asherah says, smiling widely.
"Ok then keep your eyes shut" Sarai says. Seeing Asherah's eyes close Sarai whispers some words making her black eyes turn bright blue. She twirls her fingers around at the front of Asherah's face. A thin veil appears covering her face leaving only her eyes open.
"Using magic again Nanny Sarai" Asherah asks.
"And how many times do I have to tell you not to call me that but Aunt Sarai" Sarai says with her forehead creased in a frown.
Asherah grins sheepishly "I'm sorry I'll keep that in mind next time".
"To answer your question, yes I used magic" Asherah says looking at Asherah through the mirror.
"But why do I have to close my eyes all the time when you use your magic" Asherah says with a pout making Sarai giggle.
"Well it's because of my eyes. I wouldn't want you questioning them because I wouldn't be able to give you an answer" Sarai says with a sigh.
"Aunt Sarai, you said you have a secret like me. We have similar secrets. Don't you want to find out about your origin cause I do. I need to first go in search of my mother but if it turns out to be a waste of time. I'll search for where she hails from" Asherah says with a thoughtful look.
"No Asherah. Some things are better to be left as it is. If the search for your mother turns out to be useless then take it as her not having enough guts to show herself to you. It's dangerous to go looking for her people in any place you're unaware of. I'm sure that as much as you want it your Mom would also love to be by your side in all the way but she can't" Sarai says patting her softly on her shoulders.
"Come on now unless you'll be late for the ceremony. You wouldn't want to give your husband a bad impression of you on your first time would you".
Sarai asks with a smile gazing at Asherah affectionately.
Asherah huffs a breath standing up.
"Do you want me to accompany you? " Sarai asks.
"as my Nanny" Asherah asks with doubt.
Sarai giggles "Not as your Nanny Ash but as the Luna of Red crest pack" Sarai says with a grin on her face.
"You are the Luna of Red crest Pack why didn't you yell me"
"Can we save that for later. We are running late".Sarai says dragging Asherah with her.
They both arrive at the main palace Grand hall making sure to enter with little to no attention on them as Asherah wishes.
"Sarai, I wish to walk around for a little while" Asherah says, staring at her feet.
Sarai sighs "I know you don't want to stay around Ophelia but this is solely for the peace truce" Sarai says in assurance.
"I… I know. It's exciting to walk around the pack in my human form. I've never done so before. I'll make sure to be back before the Vampire king arrives". Asherah says.
Sarai nods her head letting go of Asherah's hand. Asherah turns to walk into a lonely corridor staring at the family portraits on the wall. They all looked happy except for the two males in the portrait who had no smiles on their faces. They all looked complete but who knows better would know that someone is missing and that's her.
She stares at the portraits with sadness in her eyes and a sad smile on her lips.
"I finally found you" a voice behind says, making her turn around to feel her breath stuck in her lungs.
